PARIS -- France says it has deported a radical Muslim preacher known for his anti-Semitic speeches and calls for violent holy war.

Mohamed Hammami, who preached at the Omar Mosque in Paris, was expelled to his home country of Tunisia on Wednesday.

France's Interior Ministry said in a statement that Hammami was expelled for his "deliberate, repeated and unacceptable provocations," which constitute a threat to France's society and security.

The ministry says in addition to his anti-Semitic speeches and calls for holy war, Hammami also drew condemnation over his defense of violence towards women.

I like how the policy nowadays is 'Call a Jihad and you can f u c k right off' +1 France

.
I am a great fan of France for showing us how to tackle backwardness, culture incongruence, intolerance, and non-assimilation within one's society.

We truly need to take a leaf out of their book to arrest pockets of our own spiraling out of control.

. .
Whoever incites hate should be treated same way. Hope we learn from France rather than allowing these people causing so many troubles in various regions of our country.

So lets strat with banning Burkha and pagaris in public.I wonder how would hindus react to ghoonghat and tilak and sindoor.

But unlike them we have no place for radicals to be deported to.

What are you talking about ? How is it same ? Don't make arguments and bring irrelevant pieces for sake of posting.

I would start with repealing all these religious "personal laws". Laws are not supposed to be based on religion, and that too institutionally recognizing Sharia? Pffft. Nonsense.

Good move France. As long as people integrate and live in harmony who cares what their religion is. But people like this guy should be deported. Atleast he wont create problems for other muslims in France who might be stereotyped and treated badly because of people like him.

They are not the same as Burkas. I mean Hinduism and its culture etc is native to India, and as such Sindhoor, Tilak etc dont bother anybody, nor is it a security risk, nor is it abusive toward one particular gender. And we dont mandate that people wear Sindhoor and Tilak and punish people if they dont. Thats the difference.

.
Neither is pants, shirts, suits etc....we can't be selective brah.

Agreed. And before any Pakistani or Indian Muslim points it out, even we Parsis are inorganic to Indian culture.

But pants and shirts do not enslave any section of our society.

Pants and shirts are not security risks.

Pants and shirts hide stuff I don't want to see, but not the stuff I want to (face).

For gods sake how is tilak & sindhoor offensive ?

Must we always drag other religions to compare with ?

If a Hindu priest or a Sikh Granthi preaches hate while abroad he should be given a kick in the butt and asked to swim home.

Can we not leave it there ?
