France Backs Away From The Chinese Threat

at least we didnt wasted our money and time like u indians did on huge number of failed projects :azn: air crafts , missiles , tanks in every field lol

300 private companies in India have contributed to LCA. I wont call it a waste but a sensible way to develop a defense ecosystem that can be harnessed in the future.

You guys used 300 different types of nut bolts in your aircraft. :what:

I for one think that this is not a huge issue. If the French one does not happen, we should stick with what we have on hand and work with the Chinese to improve it. If the French can mess with us now, they for sure can do the same during the supply (as they did holding back the ROSE Mirages and the Agosta 90B).

The only alternate available to Pakistan is to stick with the Chinese and work through these issues. In the end, we would be all the better for it. :pakistan::china:

Stick with Chinese seems to be the answer for every issue pakistan faces today... What if one day Pakistan finds its priorities in conflict with that of China... ??

And before everyone starts singing the songs of Pakistan-Chinese friendship, remember, once USA was willing to attack India in favor of Pakistan

1971.. well.. was more of a threat than anything else, but i think you get the point.. Nothing is permanent...
Really....???.... Did US officials said anything....???.... Please post a link regarding to your claim.

the only thing which made us not to attack india is the then USSR president was in India.... he declared he will remain in India to see US forces..... and put USSR forces on high alert for further instructions...

those were the times when bangaladesh was about to form...

US was never willing to attack India. This is something that you read in your Indian textbooks but it is far from the reality.

And why would Pakistan not stick with the Chinese on a program in which we have already invested with the Chinese and when other alternates are not available? Seems quite logical to me.

There are many details available on net for this. This is just one of them, Even Russian officals confirmed and tracked one radio communication in which USS Enterprises officers telling to Pentagon they reached late and locked on by missiles by Russian.

When USS Enterprises was locked on by missiles by USSR ships. Even they surfaced their nuclear submarines in Indian Ocean.

Indo-Pakistani War of 1971: Facts, Discussion Forum, and Encyclopedia Article
Check these lines
"when the USS Enterprise reached the Indian Ocean, Soviet nuclear submarines surfaced without any kind of verbal warning or threat. There was no formal or informal dialogue between the USSR and the United States. As the United States were not ready to risk open nuclear warfare with the Soviets the Enterprise simply turned around and sailed back to the US.

American policy towards the end of the war was dictated primarily by a need to restrict the escalation of war on the western sector to prevent the 'dismemberment' of West Pakistan. Years after the war, many American writers criticized the White House policies during the war as being badly flawed and ill-serving the interests of the United States.

The Soviet Union sympathized with the Bangladeshis, and supported the Indian Army and Mukti Bahini during the war, recognizing that the independence of Bangladesh would weaken the position of its rivals - the United States and China. The USSR gave assurances to India that if a confrontation with the United States or China developed, it would take counter-measures. This assurance was enshrined in the Indo-Soviet friendship treaty signed in August 1971.
