Someone saying something bad about the Prophet will not hurt your faith in religion as no one but yourself can take your faith away. I also would like to know under what circumstances police opened fire. If police lives and the life of the suspect was actually in danger, the shootings maybe justified. No he did not. In fact, blasphemy laws weren't a thing until recently and rightly so since they are intrinsically un-Islamic. Islam guards the freedom of speech in religion of every non-Muslim, and otherwise for every Muslim as well. It has explicitly ordered the Muslims to ignore ridicule more than 50 times in the Quran itself. You and I have no right to enforce our religious insecurities on a non-Muslim.

I have said it before and I will repeat it again. The matter of derogatory remarks against Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is the most sensitive issue of all. The death of all the blasphemers throughout history is a lesson to all human beings. Just don't indulge in such activity. I repeat just don't do it otherwise suffer the consequences because almost all those who made the mistake of doing so had to pay for it one way or the other.

Dude, atheists and liberals mock these religious figures all the time. The young population in the US is highly atheist, and the trend is towards the US becoming atheist majority soon.

Dont you understand whats going on here. Minority Hindus are working against BD and BD people. Like they do in India. Its not classic atheist, liberal debate. Its not freedom expression, just one tiny community working to harm the country. Nowhere its tolerated. You go in USA as an South Asian guy from Hindu/Muslim background claim yourself whatever. Your absurd repeated words on Jesus wont be tolerated, specially if you have online presence. But same isnt true for white native American. The freedom of expression has limits. So no south Asian guy tries to so. People would like to see these: There is no restriction in law but hidden agreement which keeps respects among communities. Though people would like to achieve western level of development. But all things arent perfect there. Third world country like BD should develop correcting the errors and faults, the developed countries made. I dont like BD mass hysteria level of reaction. As much as I like to disassociate from them. I would also like to see BD people criticize their issues in a constructive manner.
