Former CJ Iftikhar Chaudhary to join politics

Justice has been served as allegations by Imran Khan against him have been proven, said former CJ

QUETTA (Dunya News) – Former Chief Justice (CJ) Iftikhar Chaudhary has decided to step in the world of politics on Friday. He said that he intends to form his own party in the aftermath of the verdict of Inquiry Commission which declared him free from charges of alleged rigging, reported Dunya News.

Talking to media, former CJ has announced that he will form his own party soon adding that he does not intend to join any other political party.

He said that justice has been served as all allegations by Imran Khan against him have been proven wrong after Judicial Commission’s report.

Talking about the next general elections, Iftikhar Chaudhary said that it is the need of the hour that a mechanism be devised so that no political party is accused of rigging.

I think if Abdul Qadeer Khan failed to grab the support of people, he too would most likely be failed.

In Pakistan technically every political party has either been formed through the backing of Army or a certain agenda to represent certain type of people of the minorities. JUI-F and JI got the vote by selling religion, PML-N, PPP and MQM got the votes after backing of the army and ANP sells ethnicity and minorities. PTI too is accused of backing from the army and the chances of such a scenario cannot be ruled out.

Genuine people like Abdul Qadeer Khan or CJ Iftikhar, Tahir ul Qadri may always attract crowd but may not be able to form a political party of national level unless there is a major shift of change in Pakistan (next to impossible in 2015).

Sir Ji I beg to differ you cannot equate Abdul Qadeer Khan = CJ Iftikhar or Abdul Qadeer Khan = Tahir ul Qadri. But I agree that humney apne kuch mohsinon ke saath acha salook nahi kiya.
