Interesting stance taken by huzoor Ghulam Azam
in 1947: He was against split of British India into East Pak, West Pak and India on the grounds the Muslim community that was one community for time immemorial will be divided geographically (and potentially in other ways) into three.
in 1971: He was against take over of East Pakistan by India for obvious reasons that if India wanted any good for East Pakistan....
- it would not openly stir up trouble inside East Pakistan in the first place
- it would not invade East Pakistan
- it would not bolster a tiny group of far leftist militant types
- it would not turn East Pakistan constitution and systems upside down to create a brand new political order
India would be able to 'score' against United Pakistan, India's enemy since 1947, by attacking United Pak's perfect weak underbelly, East Pakistan. India would not only be able to cut off the two Pakistans, but also turn the East Pakistan into a joke, a vassal and a controllable market for Indian industries
