you can check seat avalibility for the BA flights daily to dubai to see the passenger load and then compare it to emirates or even eithad.

Also you havent answered my question why are middle eastern airlines doing so well when the rest of the worlds airlines are loosing money. And please dont give Eithad as an example, it was always going to struggle to keep up with the worlds best airlines emirates. other then goverment officals and passengers using AD as a layover destinantion no one goes to AD.

mate other then people living in the middle east everyone and their dog knows these oil rich states are giving massive subsidies to their state owned airlines.

where as its a completely different story in the ME. the ruler of dubai has said countless times his emirates airline project is his pride and joy.

Of course, that is why local media reported on the Flydubai loss. Secondly, that is why I used Australian media when quoting Emirates current status.

just came back from Toronto about 2 weeks ago flying on BA. such a shame looking at the standard of the 787 i was flying on. with ripped seats and falling air vents.

if only BA has a sugar daddy giving them massixe tax and fuel subsidies

for a man who speaks alot you still havent given me one single reason why emirates and ME3 do so well compared to airlines from around the world. just answer the question and maybe pdf will start taking you seriosuly. @cloud4000 apperantly emirates doesnt receieve any tax breaks or goverment subsidies and is so sucessful just for the simple fact that people love flying the airline and would rather suport emirates then their countries own airline.

Just when you think PIA might be on the right track goverment wants to make its life harder.

BA is going to take away a big chunk of PIA business when they start their UK Islmabad route, taking the millions of kashmiris from UK to ISB

Protectionism in business doesn't work. It limits the scope of expansion. Only thing that works in business is competitiveness. If BA or any other airline were to start operations to Pakistan then PIA would have to get it's act together to compete. That would streamline the business and would ultimately help it expand.
In other words it's always better to make a pie that keeps getting bigger even if it means sharing it rather than have a pie to yourself that gets smaller and smaller.

airline industry isnt an easy business to be in at the moment.

forget PIA top airlines like British airways, American airlines, Lufthansa etc just cant compete with airlines from the middle east who get their oil dirty cheap by their respective goverments. And thats where the price issue comes in and the service goes down.

I have friend who is cabin crew with BA, i asked her why does BA run so many flights daily from London heathrow to dubai knowing very well the emirates ticket is cheaper and they have about 10 flights daily to Dubai from london. her answer shocked me when she said most airlines are going empty to places like the middle east so that they can get cheap fuel at these destinantions so they fly their daily with countless flights because the fuel prices being so low at these destinantions.

had PIA got cheap fuel like emirates, eithad, qatar etc do they would also be one of the leading airlines of the world right now. cheaper fuel means, cheaper tickets, which means more customers, which means profit, which means new planes and getting planes on finance at good rates.

I think you lack comprehension of reality. As a customer, I would expect service for what I pay; PIA offers horrible service compared to other flights. Even if PIA was cheaper, I would not pay a dime because I am not getting the value out of it as I am in other flights. Only people like you can live in a wonderland and think that had been oil prices cheap, PIA would have been leading, no sir, no easy routes, only the hard way and that is the long way, get the PIA damn service redone, its planes better maintained, timings more respected, customer service better, in flight entertainment more on par, then we can even talk about oil prices.
