Is total area have anything to do with how militarily powerful a country is? If total area of a country was the main determinant factor of military prowess then Greenland,Mongolia,Congo,Kazakhstan,Canada would have been major military power in the world rather than Israel,UK,Germany or Japan.Stop deluding yourself that just because Burma have bigger landmass than Bangladesh it can become more militarily powerful than Bangladesh.Without manpower and economic power you can never become a military power even if you have half of the world's landmass.

and the duty of armed forces is to protect the population so it's not a big plan at all

BD military advancement is in line with our economic growth and threat perception. BD has no territorial ambition rather it seeks to be in a position to hold its own.

Burma has nothing to worry about as long as it behaves.... BD will not interfere as long as we are left alone. However BD will not accept any fall out from Burmese racist policies towards its Muslim minority.

Why is that wrong? A densely populated nation of 170m can not be controlled. No invader can even hope to control even one of our minor cities.

Look around the world USA with all its power was stuck in respective green zones of Baghdad and Kabul and that's about it.

Any invader would bleed more in BD. Obviously we will lose more people but simple calculus we can take colletoral damage and still stand. Invasion of Bangladesh would lead to inevitable and comprehensive defeat of any invader. Look to Vietnam, they ended both French and US imperial project in east Asia.

The problems for the Arabs are just that their countries are sparsely populated with limited centres of high density population wise. BD is a fortress..... A people's defense doctrine is a logical proposition.
