Forbes : To Catch Up With India, Pakistan Needs Modi's Magic

We are way behind china, thats truth. Unfortunately you dont have 'BAAALLLZ' to accept the truth. Your country is broken beyond repair.
Pakistan is not broken beyond repair. With CPEC Pakistan will do very well. Lets wait for 3 years more :D.

Pakistan is not like your millions of poor Indians begging on the streets of Hyderabad.

.
You see, major research institutes have a pathbreaking effect. Its not the number per capita counts, its the having one good research institute which matter. To put it simply, you need one needle to prick the balloon. So, you have still to tell me where is Pakistan's entry in top 100, 200 or 300?

BTW, we have not regressed. Others, especially China have become much better. There is a difference between two.

Your argument is meaningless. US has more universities in top 100 than UK or Canada, but because UK or Canada have lesser population no one thinks that US universities are overall better than Canadian universities. What you are telling me is you have a few good universities, which is easier to achieve with a much higher population, but in general you can say nothing about vast majority most of your universities.

.
*Yawn* sure! First it was USA and now China. Someone else have to always come to help you, right?
China is different from USA.

USA is a far away land. Ofcourse USA does not care about Pakistan.

But with CPEC China will develop Pakistan rapidly.

Don't be a hypocrite. India depends on Russia for many things. :D

China and Pakistan are neighbors. China has an interest in Pakistan.

NO!
All I am telling you is that having one really good research university is order of magnitude better than having none, IRRESPECTIVE of your population.

You still have no idea what's changed this time, and in a few years you will be in for a surprise. US never invested anything similar to CPEC. Relationship with US has mostly always been military. So, your analogy is really really bad. Most importantly, most of CPEC is under construction. It's not just on paper this time.

Sorry, but SMC has it right. 1.3 billion Indians can only produce one good university on the 100 list. lol.

Sure Sure! Lets see. CPEC is going to fix everything broken in Pakistan.
Wise folks do not put all their apples in same basket for a reason. For the sake of argument if CPEC flops massively, what then? Or you relationship with China goes soar completely, what then?

Depending upon a single foreign power for ALL your development is either desperation or stupidity or may both

Exactly. China has invested a HUGE amount in Pakistan. The times have changed.

USA has never invested in Pakistan as much.

This time, things have changed in Pakistan forever. With CPEC, the Pakistani economy will grow tremendously.

No wonder why CPEC so popular in Pakistan.

But it's much easier to achieve that with a higher population, and it's no achievement for a country of 1.3 billion. Most importantly, it says nothing about your higher education in general. This initially started with "higher education" quality by you. I am telling you having just 1 university in top 200-300 for a country of 1.3 billion is no achievement and certainly nothing you can use against another country much smaller.

China has a stake in Pakistan because of Gwadar port.

Are you ignorant or just plain stupid?

China has interests in Pakistan.

USA does not have the same interests in Pakistan.

Nope! Had that been case then countries like Singapore or Israel would not be at the forefront of the research. Research is not a numbers or population game as you are portraying. Its more to do with quality than quantity. Fact is Pakistan does not have one single good research university and it weighs heavily on you. Anyone with any iota of talent will have to look elsewhere for research.

Are you able to articulate anything constructive and mature or will keep posting childish crap?

So you are asking what happens if CPEC flops massively? We still get 10000+ MW power, 3000 km of motorways, several 1000 km national highways, completely new railway system, etc. Those are under construction, some mostly done, and are not going to stop now. I know you'd like CPEC to flop. The reality is, CPEC isn't a binary flop or success scenario. We'll still get a hell lot out of it no matter what.

Are you an idiot?

China has an INTEREST in Gwadar port.

USA never had an interest in Pakistan.

Well if China pulls back supporting those project completely, will you be able to keep them running? Those power plants and ports? It is very reasonable to ask if China pull back and their projects fail what then? Whats the answer to that, then?

Again utter garbage.

Why would China back out now, when Pakistan can offer so much to China?
