FYI Christian missionaries are in India from British times and still there are only less than 2% are Christians.... They are involved in building schools and colleges, Our greatest President APJ Abdul Kalam studied in one such College.

I agree that there are some small section of Christians who involve in conversion activities... But people know it and they know where to stop!

Regarding your disconnect between Aryans and Dravidian.... Frankly the Dravidian's don't mind as far as they get what they want!

India was a English speaking nation only because of Tamil Politicians like Anna and Periyar... Presently Indian Finance minister, Defence Minister and many core portfolios are headed by Dravidians... So Pakistan's dream is completely shattered!

In India Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Aryans, Dravidians, People from North-East live together peacefully for many generations... It will be hard for you to understand... You will bring Gujarat Riots, Orissa Christian Killings, I agree those are unfortunate incidents... Yet we managed to live peacefully unlike in Pakistan whose Christians churches are houses are destroyed and Hindus emigrate to India.

The guru or pundit is like the mullah in Islam. The guru studies the vedas for which an understanding of sanskrit is required. From his or her knowledge the guru passes onto the devotee manners in which to pray, mantras to recite and the lifestyle in which the devotee is to follow

BS and nonsense. WHat is being discussed is not the fantasy ideal that people like to wax about, it's about the reality on ground. Reality is that a few castes used, regious position, money and caste position to dominate. Basic human values need to be read from scripture. There you can disregard scripture altogether.

Your post is all rhetoric's .......Reality is in an competitive world people use almost anything that will give them an edge to make their lives better. You are confusing human nature with hindu religion and practices.

It is books of ethics and morality that define 'Human values' ........but here is an excellent discussing by Rajiv Malhotra with young Indian NRI's regarding Hindu Identity. In a global forum and in an India that is slowing trying to churn us into an american style 'melting pot' the discussing is valuable even for present members ......its a long discussion but well worth hearing.

There is nothing ashamed to be asssociated with one Ideology or Hindutva in this case. I am a proud Hindu, but the problems arise, when some people try to brainwash others.
Secondly there is no uniformity of religion in Santana Darma, which is proving to be a major problem. People like TN, have different list of "Important" temples and practises whereas people in the north have different.
Moreover, there was never a Hindutva law of any kind in any book. There was different laws for different people based on their occupation and status. For Eg, Kshatriyas had their own laws, Brahmans had their laws, Ancient Doctors had their own laws.
Which one are we to follow, if there is to a Hindutva tumo? Either Hindu religious leaders from all over the country have to sit, discuss and find a solution, but they are not doing that.

There is a large Hindu population out of India. Why restrict discussions on Hinduism to India?
