And hence we owned only a small house in USA where she lived before moving to Pakistan despite the fact US property market was booming at that time and banks were providing easy loans to whoever applied... and often ignoring the basic checks.. me and my brother also used to think that if we had purchased some apartments, we could have made a fortune but later we found out she was right... the real estate bubble burst and it caused a major recession and people had no money to pay instalments...many banks went bankrupt... many people went bankrupt and home were taken by banks and sold at fraction of the price / market value and that's the time when I purchased my home in Atlanta... at very reasonable price for a quite a large property.

The best practice is make money in Dubai and leave. Don't do any investment in real estate. Majority of my friends lives in companies provided residence.
It's not worth to buy and operate property from foreign land.

It is rarely a good idea to buy a property in country of which you are not a citizen. But these iqama holders buy properties and make money so definitely Dubai property market is not that bad

Basic function of Iqma for Pakistani is to quickly move black money and invest in real estate. Rauf Kalasra published the list of 4400 Pakistani who has undeclared real estate in UAE. Once person get Iqama UAE govt fully protect under secrecy rights.
Even they don't share the bank account info and flow in and flow out of money. Because lately lots of PPP and PMLn front men caught . They use UAE-UK channel to disperse black money. Imagine Ayan Ali carry 600,000 dollars in her personal baggage and that was her 37th trip. Where a person with 3 ounce of hashish can be caught, but people walkout with millions in cash.

I think this Iqama facility has been abused by the corrupt politicians but that does not mean all Pakistani Iqama holders are using it for this purpose only...
