We only care about Jammu, since it's home to many Hindu Holy sites,
All we care about in case of Kashmir and Ladakh is basically their abundant water reserves, which we have only started exploiting in past 8 years.
Kashmir valley has potential to Generate 36000 MW of Hydro power,
Not to mention, provide another 100 days of water storage for India, once all our Dams are complete.

In a few years, we would be in a position to Sell Surplus electricity from Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan, since it's cheaper to supply Islu and Pindi from Kashmir, than to supply Power to Lucknow and Kanpur.
