We wont need a fence with Taliban in Kabul. As i have repeatedly pointed out yet reason and logic keeps escaping u, Afghanistan holds immense strategic importance for us, how can u not get it?
There is no love lost between me and the Afghans, i encounter a lot of them here in Australia and they are almost all ungrateful little twerps yet try thinking on a strategic scale.
I got into an argument with one, he kept complaining about how Pakistan tried to strong arm Kabul into abandoning an Indian sponsored dam on Kabul river, when Kabul refused all the workers and engineers were made to disappear with few Taliban bombing on the site to boot, i told him that is what happens when u try to fck with the water security of a nuclear nieghbour.
This is what iam talking about, we cant and will not allow India to gain strategic depth in our backyard.

Agree that Bharat has no sincere intentions in Afghanistan towards Pakistan. HOWEVER, please do not be fooled by this notion that should the Afghan Taliban come to government in Kabul, Pakistan will not need a fence. Utter nonsense. Pakistan still needs a fence. A brother cannot just enter your house willy nilly...one has his wive(s) and others that must be afforded some privacy. It is the same with Afghanistan under Afghan Taliban and Pakistan.

The idea that Afghanistan and Pakistan can have an arrangement like the E.U regarding borders is noble but impractical at the moment even if the Afghan Taliban come to power. It will take decades before this sort of integration can really even begin to happen and until such appropriate time, Pakistan must build continue to build a fence, not just physical but economic and social.
Remember even the Afghan Taliban do not accept the Khan-Durand Border.
