The OP article is far more sympathetic to Pakistan then one would have thought otherwise. It does try to take into account Pakistan's legit fears of encirclement unlike the usual rubbish rhetoric of Pakistan being the only guilty party or Pakistan being paranoid.
As to India's influence in Afghanistan. Well, with Washington's backing of troops and money, and decades of brainwashing, it won't be long before large sections of Afghans will hate Pakistan. Just don't forget that Afghans are not even half as much of a 'nation' as Pakistan is: The warlords will sell themselves to the highest bidder.
