Those songs which I bet you really liked but now you had completely forgotten before viewing this thread.

Give a positive ratings if you agree.

Mods, excuse me for starting India-centric thread but I have never seen any other forums where Indian responses come so thick and fast.

Okay I am not fan of Indian films but I can't have grown up without being exposed to these. There are four Indian films that are time marked in my consciousness - I watched all four in circumstances that etched them in my memory.

One thing that strikes me about Indian films is how they seemed more 'alien' to me because the manners, dress etc were so differant from what I considered as 'Pakistani' - based on my family and our circle. For example most of the Indian women wore Sari or other ensemble which was quite unlike what my mother wore and I used these films to benchmark what a Indian was. Today I notice the change - there is hardly any differance between what I relate to and what you see on Indian films. In that sense India has adopted change toward Pakistan.

Anyway here is my list from 54 years of life. My uncle took me to cinema to see this. I must have been about 12.

I never watched this but I could not avoid the music.

I watched this at home on video player - think I was 19. Actually liked this.

Watched this in Pakistan. I think I was 25. I got into trouble in UK so spent some "leave" time in Pak and this thing was playing everywhere. I "fell" in love and this sort of captures that time in PK.

Beyond this I am fan of Hollywood. Nothing comes close to the greatest film ever made - Once upon a Time in the West.

Can you suggest some good/great music albums/songs of West? I want to know how good Western music is. I haven't been exposed to Western music. So curious.

We ourselves agree that Indian movies are of bad quality and screenplay is poor. But I surmise Indian music is okay. So I would like to check the best of Western music.
