For China human rights abuses are its history

People who live in glass houses, shouldn't throw stones.

Living condition and human rights abuse are terrible in India, human right issues should be the last thing Indian try to discuss.

India still has a ancient caste system in place, Chinese never even had such system.

You are quick to point out at China, but have you looked at yourself? :)

Both countries are not clean on human rights records according to the west. But it seems to me india does live in larger glass houses and they are having the largest internet stone pelters

Both countries are not clean on human rights records according to the west. But it seems to me india does live in larger glass houses and they are having the largest internet stone pelters

I re-read the whole 4 pages of this thread and no Indian member has commented on China's human rights, they did stop you guys from abusing the thread starter and calling him all sorts of names/racism remarks and attacking him personally also all Indian posters have been telling you guys to stick to topic.
So whats the problem here and I don't get why u need to bring in India here when the thread is specifically about Human Rights Violations in China? Now don't tell me that so and so commented on some other thread on China. Can u guys for once stick to the topic?

No we are not pointing at China, we are asking you to comment on the topic at hand and not drag in India unnecessarily.

. .
I guess you chinese are just getting annoyed because reality behind chinese atrocities came to light. No wonder you are blaming India that is not even related to this conversation looks like some people are taking the heat on reality :drag:

WORLD'S MOST DANGEROUS PLACES FOR WOMEN

India fourth most dangerous place for women: survey

Targeted violence against females, dismal healthcare and desperate poverty make Afghanistan the world's most dangerous country in which to be born a woman, with Congo a close second due to horrific levels of rape. Pakistan, India and Somalia ranked third, fourth and fifth, respectively, in the global survey of perceptions of threats ranging from domestic abuse and economic discrimination to female foeticide (the destruction of a fetus in the uterus), genital mutilation and acid attack. A survey compiled by the Thomson Reuters Foundation to mark the launch of TrustLaw Woman*, puts Afghanistan at the top of the list of the most dangerous places in the world for women. TrustLaw asked 213 gender experts from five contents to rank countries by overall perceptions of danger as well as by six categories of risk. The risks consisted of health threats, sexual violence, non-sexual violence, cultural or religious factors, lack of access to resources and trafficking. The collection of images that follow were provided by Reuters to illustrate the dangers women face in those 5 countries. -- Paula Nelson (*TrustLaw Woman is a website aimed at providing free legal advice for women’s' groups around the world.) i have a doubt over with 1.2 billion population we are at 4th but what about Pakistan even with less population they are ahead of us...... and also is China allowing any body or media to survey or wrote an article with out any restriction...... If China have less poverty , safety , good human why they are restricting media..... Still you guys trying to pretend like China is 1st world country...in many areas china is ahead of us every one accept it....still you guys trying to show off...

We are well aware of this "reality" fabricated by western media. Their version of reality equate Al Queda and other terrorists to Libya and Syria freedom fighters, and their version of Iraq has weapons of mass destruction.

It is Indians and their white masters that should accept the reality of their own human rights abuses.

It is Indians and their white masters that should accept the reality of their own human rights abuses.

Amnesty International has documented widespread human rights violations in China. An estimated 500,000 people are currently enduring punitive detention without charge or trial, and millions are unable to access the legal system to seek redress for their grievances. Harassment, surveillance, house arrest, and imprisonment of human rights defenders are on the rise, and censorship of the Internet and other media has grown. Repression of minority groups, including Tibetans, Uighurs and Mongolians, and of Falun Gong practitioners and Christians who practice their religion outside state-sanctioned churches continues. While the recent reinstatement of Supreme People's Court review of death penalty cases may result in lower numbers of executions, China remains the leading executioner in the world.

China’s human rights record worsened in 2011: Report

BEIJING China’s human rights record worsened in 2011, making it the most repressive year in a decade, after Beijing launched a crackdown following prote-sts across the Arab world, a group said on Friday.

Hong Kong-based Chinese Human Rights Defenders said in its annual report on rights activists in China that 2011 was characterised by lengthy jail terms, enforced disappearances and torture of dissidents.

Political upheaval that rocked the Middle East and sparked calls for anti-government ‘Jasmine rallies’ in China spooked authorities, who responded by launching one of the toughest crackdowns on dissent in years, it said.

The group said the move to silence government critics “marked yet another low point in China’s human rights, making 2011 the most repressive year since the rights defence movement began in the early 2000s.”

It estimated that dozens of activists were disappeared and tortured, while several veteran dissidents were sentenced to long jail terms.

One of the most alarming developments last year was the use of “enforced” disappearances, in which at least two dozen activists were taken by authorities and held for long periods of time in secret locations, the organisation said.

Secret detentions in China are well-documented — the renowned artist Ai Weiwei was among several dissidents to be taken to unknown locations and held for months without charge during a crackdown on government critics last year.

China had planned to make it legal to ‘disappear’ criminal suspects as part of changes to the country’s criminal law, which is under debate this week by lawmakers attending the annual National People’s Congress.

However, in what was hailed as a victory for judicial reformers, China has abandoned those controversial plans following a public outcry.
