Karachi Population is 10% of Pakistan having all kinds of Ethnicity and culture so Sindhi centric Mindset of Sindh Govt. cant deliver anything to this city.

Did Gilgit Baltistan ever asked the same despite of being Disputed Territory Status within Pakistan????

None of you to decide its Majority within Karachi's decision. If they want to be separated from Sindh they would support Parties with this agenda if not then they would support those who wants to keep it in tacked within Sindh.

This happened in Palestine so are you in favor of repeating that History. What selfishness, what height of selfishness.

We have to look at it on national level. Not provinces, but more administrative regions are definitely the need of the hour.

Were it not for the MQM, a separate province could have been considered. But knowing the snakes they are, better not go down that road!

While Karachi is just a modern city, and ethnically diverse. So if you were to make it a separate city, what would be the basis? Majority like 90% people are Muslims, so it can't be religion, ethnicity wise, then you'll need to make like 4 different provinces to accommodate all ethnicity like Pashtuns, Mahajers, Punjabi's, White Americans who are always out to get your country and all!!

You're just contradicting yourself here my friend. MQM is demanding a separate province based on ethnic lines, not on administrative. They want to create a Mohajir Province, or some of their hawks say Mohajir Nartion.

IK is right, Karachi is the jugular vein of Sindh. Separation of Karachi from Sindh will lead to deep resentment among the average Sindhis. Unless Sindh Assembly passes a resolution with 2/3 majority, Karachi cannot be separated from Sindh.

Please get to learn the subject at hand first. The so-called immigrants were the standard bearers of Pakistan movement. Without their contribution, Sindhis were still slave of Hindu banya. Secondly, Karachi never had large population of Sindhis for historically Karacchi was Baloch settlement. Ever heard of Punjabi abadgaars? Have they blended?

Nope, not really, but when it ever come down to it, Imran Khan as Prime Minister will declare Karachi a capital city State for better, PTI supporters no matter whether from Karachi or else where in Pakistan will force him to do so..

Personally, i have no issues with more Provinces. If it were up to me, i believe Punjab needs to be split up into at least 5 units. But the point i am trying to make is, Interior Sindh will never accept the Separation of Karachi. How is MQM going to muster the force to bring 3/4th majority in Sindh Assembly to create a new Province. You cannot separate Karachi from Sindh with the force of a gun barrel. Separation of Karachi from Sindh without the blessing of Interior Sindh will seriously jeopardize the Federation.

6 months ago, and no one here is challenging the fact that Rural Sindh has been destroyed by PPP and its Waderas. Read above, without the blessings of the Rural Sindh Karachi cannot become a Province. 3/4th majority is required in the Sindh Assembly.

Had been much better had he said, Karachi cannot be a separate province till everyone agrees. He is now a national leader and should avoid controversial statements.

But in a way he has a point, this will start a chain reaction, with KP hazaras demanding a separate one with seraikis following and potoharis and then pakhtuns of balochstan.

So the best solution is a great local govt system which he is frankly trying.

There is no problem in linguistic divisions, but at this time it will not be good. If Gen zia (PML-Ns spiritual leader) had created some provinces like his council advised him a lot of trouble might have been avoided.

The man whose worth is 1.4 billion dollars, pays only 5 thousand Rupee in tax. Ask Nawaz to show his assets, bet u on one thing that he will go to Britain for his medical check up.
