England gets a nice clock for participating. The Balkans (Croatia) create a small hassle but is quickly handled

Since then, Everytime "Official" African teams are eliminated in WC, They all go back Cheering France Team.
From Blacks to Maghrebis...

I mentioned this topic earlier in this thread on how immigration in general has changed the perception of these teams, especially for us older guys (well maybe not you, but myself for sure) who have been watching world cups since the late 70's. You wouldn't see such prevalence of immigrants on these types of teams, especially European teams. But things have certainly changed since then, and it's not just France either.

Indeed the Change is quite Significant.
But it's understandable, Football is a social ladder, that gained a lot of ground in the late 90' in EU, Where poor (in general) youth saw in it a "quick" answer to their situation, Where you get the perception to get a lot of Money and fame. And that poor pop was in General those from Immigrant parents. (Mostly Maghrebis and Subsaharien African)
