Now your assertion is different. However, your new line of questioning STILL assumes the first part of the original statement you made (that Pakistan acts in the interests of regional peace and stability) necessarily excludes the possibility that Pakistan will retaliate or has retaliated militarily.

It wasn't that long ago in history that verbal assurances were given to protect the autonomous status of Kashmir while seeking the agreement of kashmiris themselves if any change was desired. Who are you kidding with these additional arbitrary assurances?

The statement by Indian Lt.Gen. is not about the ceasefire violations, which is a normal thing or about LOC violation vis-a-vis pounding by Pakistan and the reciprocal action by India, rather he was talking about Pakistan helping the IOK Kashmiris with infiltration from Pakistan, supplies and finances and all sorts of 'look Pakistan did it' diatribe...this is the new normal from India, just the old fashioned statements has changed a bit...


While from Pakistan side there is a sea change in kind of statements coming....like this
