Insha-Allah (God willing) it will happen one day, given how small Bangladesh is. We have demographic dividend and multiple other factors on our side.

India will have a tougher time keeping their status quo (given BIMARU poorer states situation), but they are much more industrialized and will improve with time as well.

But India cannot be Bangladesh' role model. We cannot pay heed to what naysayers in India say.

We need to aim higher, much higher. We need to model our newer cities along what China has done in the last two decades.

And be a development partner to help and get help from China.

As we had been telling for ages here in the forum, Bangladeshis in general does not like Indian Govt and it's policies. Period. There has always been suspicion and distrust since the independence.

People here are quick to dismiss these as anecdotes but this is the truth.

The fact that even AL ministers are openly speaking out against false indian narrative clearly points that India does not have the kind of grasp over Bangladesh as some people love to think so.

May come as a shock for some, but this shouldn't be surprising to any genuine Bangladeshi with backbone. I am disregarding all the Uber liberal sell outs here.
