Would love to hand some of these to BSF. Whenever Pak Rangers conduct a violation these choppers should knock the hell out of their post. If Pak wants to deploy anti-aircraft guns or Manpads on these posts then it will be doubly beneficial as it will drain a lot of their military resources.

well drdo does the programming and the electronics part which hal cant do. avionics have to be developed by drdo. anyways lca is the first such thing india has done. mk2 and amca will define indian aviation.

I heard they have already started building the infra required for Rafale... Also, there is a committee which is looking at restructuring HAL to change the lopsided Govt. attitude ..

Bring some private companies into the fray & share the work burden with them, why do HAL think that they are superheroes?? We have to appreciate the work of ISRO here which is planning to give communication satellite making role to private companies so they can concentrate on R&D work, in years to come no doubt all satellites except strategic one's like Risat will be made by private companies.
