First made-in-Vietnam car rolls off Assembly line

Indonesia has even developed a passenger plane in the 1990s. Check this one:

You are one of the poorest even within asean:

Dreaming and talking big is the only thing you can do. This is 2019, only clown like you is bragging about producing a "high quality" super duper gasoline car....
Ok you found no domestic car manufacturer in Indonesia, they just assemble other people’s cars. The other $1 trillion economy Turkey possesss no domestic brand either. Come on, we are poor but Vietnamese will feel embarrassed if we only use CN cars, CN smartphone, CN bus, etc or other countries products. It’s a matter of national pride.

This joke vinfast really has zero technology....
Where did you get the technology to develop domestic car industry? Or you wanna say China invented cars? CN HSR technology came from Siemens. Why’s wrong, if VF buys BMW technology?

Indonesia not only assembles cars but also produce many parts, including engine.

You have no rights to comment on our HSR which is leading the world right now:
Mouth watering??? my little kid..

No time wasting on this Vinfast junk... OK?
In the 21st century, you spend billions to buy decade old tech from BMW, then you want to charge ridiculous price on your people... Your people have no money and even if they do, they won't buy it if they got a brain...

This Honda CRV sized EV costs less than your little midget rebadged spark:

Remember, it's an EV, full of technology, and it represents the future... Little boy..
What I really mean is that we have already managed to control the cost of EV to an acceptable price range to the ordinary masses. The mass replacement of ICE cars by EVs is a matter of time now. BMW? It will became the past tense within 2 decades, just like Kodak... Because we produce the best EV for masses, not like the overpriced Tesla...

Only parts not made-in-Indonesia cars. VN has in total 50 car manufacturers but only has 1 domestic brand. I think we should have at least 5 domestic carmakers. If you are good Indonesia can export parts and play in VN supply chains. I am for sourcing parts from close neighbor countries.Images from the test run of VF factory:

One does not simply feed on pride.

Actually we got local rebranding cars, like Timor, well it is fraud like this Vincar. But actually our Toyotas and Daihatsu lines like Avanza, Inova, Alya, Agya, Calya, even Fortuner is made in Indonesia products of ASTRA motor company, with more than 96 % local content much higher than Vincar with less than 40% local content.

Why so negative toward Vietnam? Nobody is stopping you to create own brands, selling your cars as made-in-Indonesia cars. why fraud? all VF designs are unique, not existent previously anywhere. even the Fadil model gets a facelift before putting on sale in the VN market. You shall support VN in creating domestic car industry. People usually associate ASEAN countries as a place for banana growers :D It’s good if VN can change it.
What do you think of that design? It’s one of the series to become available next year.

Specs and MSRP price? Also, where is the cup holder? People need to drink coffee. I do like the large display, though. Also please post crash rating when available.

Cupholder? Ok that is missing. Shouldn’t be a problem to add it as extra feature.

Crash test? We will see the results in the coming months when cars test run in European roads and highways. Cars can run at 250 kmh on Autobahn here. The L series are from BMW 5 older series (BMW does not give Vietnam the newer series), so I expect crash tests will be all ok.
