First made-in-Vietnam car rolls off Assembly line

Fadil series

Nonsense. The car is designed and manufactured by a Vietnamese company. The company uses domestic and foreign suppliers but which carmaker can make everything?

No joke: the company wants to sell cars in China. Chinese are plentiful and have money.

To market this car to China, the manufacturer can put a Vietnam girl in a wedding gown in the car. It could imply that buying the car will get you a mail order VC bride.

Or this one starting from 10,400 USD with similar features but a dimension of 4720*1900*1695mm and a wheel base length of 2,745 mm:

Vinfast Fadil is a re-badged Chevrolet Spark formerly distributed in Vietnam by General Motor. They just face-lift the car and put on Vinfast badge.

Everyone can theoretically make cheap cars. Selling is another story. But ok you can put Chinese girls on Made-in-China cars when selling to Germany. Maybe you can sell some cars here :woot:

No, not everyone can make cheap things, it is related to supply chain, infrastructure, market scale, etc, etc.. this is simple economics I do not need to explain to you here... For country like vn, you have to import everything from the engine, transmission, suspension, paint, steel, plastics, electronics, everything to make your car.. This "vinfast"is another B-phone joke...
Germany is not your country, so plz do not bring germany here, OK?
And, just give me one reason we should buy this vinfast joke car.

Is $3,5 billion a joke? Because that’s the money the company invests in car manufacturing. The high priced cars are only for rich Vietnamese or foreign markets not the mass. Vinfast introduces series of affordable cars the markets.

I give you a good reason why you Chinese should buy: US and German technology at a price of a developing country as Vietnam.

Has superpower Taiwan a car industry?

If not, you can pack Taiwanese girls as gift when selling foreign cars :enjoy:

Ahaa.... Give me a break.... man....... Cars in VN cost twice more than elsewhere....
"US and German technology"... With that price I can buy an authentic BMW X5 made in Germany.......
People will feel embarrassed to sit in a Vetmease car..... Lol....

For 3.5 billion, Vietnam should build an electric car similar to Tesla. No point creating something that everyone and anyone can creat in major automobile producing countries.

Just think, why would anyone spend the same amount for a car just as good as bmw? Why not just get a bmw?

Let’s just say that a Louis Vuitton hand bag cost 3K. Would anyone buy a bag from a new company for 3K but it’s as good as a real LV bag? Of course not, knock offs need to be substantially cheaper. People would buy it if it’s 200-400....but not 3K. Same concept apply here with the Vietcong knock offs cars.

really nice. this Vinfast design is reallly amazing. hope bring to Myanmar. congratz !!
I think Vinfast will. Myanmar has a larger landmass than VN with more and more people getting richer having money for cars, certainly a market. No worry, if there is a demand Vietnam carmakers will deliver. the Vinfast factory can produce 500,000 cars per year. Pushing to one million or more cars is not a problem at all. Thaco, the second carmaker, currently increases capacity. If Vinfast and Thaco succeed, more Vietnamese companies will start car manufacturing too. A country as Vietnam should have 3-5 carmakers with a total capacity of 10 million cars per year. We are still at learning phase though. It may take 10 yeas to get there.
