P-8I will significantly improve the capabilities of IN anti-submarine wing along with P-28 anti-submarine corvettes. When Scorpene were delayed IN made sure there is no decrease in firepower. P-8I is not even recently inducted into the USN I think.

what counter measures you are talking about ? well we have ordered 8 and we can order 4 more.

Lets not get emotional here. What you're suggesting is Pakistan (which receives around $2 billion in aid from US) with a defence budget of $4 billion has a counter measure for a state of the art aircraft yet to join the US navy - a country almost touching defence budget of $700 billion. STOP LIVING IN FANTASY WORLD!!!

There are only two confirmed operators until now

United States Navy has plans to acquire 117 aircraft.

Indian Navy has 12 aircraft on order with deliveries beginning in 2013. The first eight P-8Is at a total cost of US$2.1 billion. The order was expanded to have four more and I guess the cost of them wil be another US$1.05 billion (total 3.15 billion).
