That has been a line employed by most other Arab leaders as a means of creating a good opinion of themselves among the masses.

But his wiki has this line :

Having said that, the few nikabis I have asked "why do they wear that when Islam doesn't mandate it"... Their response has been it's thier love and reflection of the prophet's wife that wore it. ... So it's their personal interpretation as long as it doesn't harm others. So sware at the prophet's wives if you have an issue with it.

Having said that, i hope you aren't viewing the issue from a Western Whitie issue with it... I.e. feeling an interiority shame complex?... They will never be happy no matter what... It's funny how you consider them a good example of Islam, but not Saudi Arabia even though Syria has committed most of the crimes you accuse Arabia of doing. To conclude, some regard the face veil as mandatory, but others regard is preferable. However, everyone agrees that it is based in Islamic tradition, because the women during the time of Rasulullah (Peace Be Upon Him) used to cover their faces.

Now, please, don't try teaching us Muslims about our faith when you've clearly proved time and time again how much of a Muslim you are.

1. You have issues with someone religious practices or like/dislike then it doesn't warrant to throw insults/tantrums at others openly and hurt the sentiments of people that this forum respects every-
one.

This is not an ultra religious veil, lets be clear. The lady is a pirni, so I'm guessing her dress is not Wahhabi influenced but rather to create a mystical look. It is an image she is cultivating no more no less, so don't credit her 'modesty' unduly.

Watch this vid about a speech by Jamal Abdul Nasser. He talks about his encounter with the head of the 'Muslim Brotherhood' ( Ikhwaan ul Muslimeen ). The head wanted Nasser to pass a regulation that every woman going outside should wear a headscarf ( or I think a burqa ).

One member in the audience says about the head "Let him wear it !!" and the audience laughs.

Also, there was a comment about this speech in another link where the commentor said that there was a time among Muslims when they laughed about the burqa and look at where Muslims are now.
