What's new

First lady of Pakistan

Less clothes is not equal to more rights but the right to wear less clothes is defined by feminism..
the guy i quoted is a staunch supporter of feminism and here he is totally contradicting feminism ideals

. .
she looks badass tbh . In any case, its her choice if she wants to cover her face, wear hijab only, or not cover herself at all.
I think we live in Islamic environment where we need to be " pro choice " . Let people interpret the quran the way they like it , as long as they don't kill each other.

. .
The burqa is originally a Jewish clothing. And it is ugly.

My mother doesn't wear it. Among my relatives, as far as i know, no one wore it until ten years ago.

And Saudia isn't the best example of Muslims.

It is not really her own choice.

*not

The burqa was worn by early Muslims too you dumb b@stard.

Nobody cares about how you think something looks. I find most people in your country ugly, can I ban them too please?

Neither is Hindustan, the name gives it away.

I'm sorry have you met her? No? Then keep your trap shut.

reading The history of Al-Tabari Volume 1 translated by Franz Rosenthal .................. It says that Adam a.s was taught to weave and he wove a niqaab for his wife & that was the first item of clothing that he made.

Mashallah Achi lag rahi hai^o^
But our PM can’t travel with her in few countries with her;)

. . . .
Lol she’s giving him good lesson in Islam, couldn’t even say Roz e Qyamat correctly or Khatam e nabuwaut.

As they say a mullah couldn’t even recite the six Qalamas when asked to

Her burqa / burqini / skirt / jeans / no jeans / no skirt .... it's HER choice. May she be happy and content with it.

For me, everyone has the right to personal choice of garments / garbs, AS LONG AS that doesn't start infringing on others free will. Once that happens, then we all have a problem - example, that crazy Pakistani scientist ninja, who wanted Wahab-istan / Mool-istan. No thank you.

Its her right to wear whatever she like as I am strong supporter of respecting the choices of others
but I find contradiction when compare women in Imran jalse with Bushra bibi ..On one side Imran khan encourage women to take part in jalsa and be active in politics while other side his own wife is ultra conservative . First lady suppose to be a role model for woman political wing of PTI

Yes, effing embarrassment!! Less clothes don't mean 'liberal' or 'progressive' but the new First Lady of Pakistan will not help portray Pakistan in a positive way when/if she accompanies PRIME MINISTER Imran Khan on the global stage. Instead of looking at the fresh, Oxford educated face in Pakistan they will be looking at this Ninja woman and would discount most of other things about Pakistan. Of course she has the RIGHT to wear whatever she wants to--but as a public figure, your rights should not take away from your country's rights and interests. She could, like the wife of President Erdogan, choose to show her face--it will NOT be immodest and most of Pakistani women don't cover like her.

In the same vein, look at the behavior of the NAB Chairman who went after the Polish blogger in Pakistan recently over some supposed insult to Pakistan's flag. Pathetic.

Those of us who had seen our youth ruined in the 1970/80s ruined under Zia know the dangers of extremism.

Mr. Imran Khan may be personally clean and all that and my entire family in Karachi have voted for him instead of MQM. But he sure makes interesting choices: From a Jewish Socialite like Jemima to a TV anchor like Reham Khan to this lady.
