First Kamra Made JF17 to Fly on 23rd Nov...

“In fact there is a reason for making the KLJ-10 radar development very important as it will be put into the first batch of JF-17 for launch of SD-10 giving them the BVR capability

Hey guys i can't sleep just been back from work really happy today...
Just one question ..... When you say it is being handed over to PAF does that mean the aircraft is combat ready ..... and ready to kick A$$.... I mean ...I cant wait to see these planes flying combat missions in waziristan.....What say.

So you are suggesting, Killing our own people eh.. and i cant beleive another typical pakistani thinking that way. yes, there might be some terrorists but bombing and air raids in waziristan would mean killing innocent civilians and maybe 2 terrorists. Have you ever heard Indians testing their combat aircraft on their civilians. They wont at any cirsumstances. Rite now we need to unite. We have more things and enemies to worry about other than Waziristan.

Hope you understand.
Take care
Regrads,
Bilal

Its KLJ-7 I think rather than Grifo-s-7

KLJ-7

The KLJ-7, also referred to as the Type 1478, is an X-band airborne fire-control radar (FCR) developed by Nanjing Research Institute of Electronic Technology (NRIET), also known as the China Electronics Technology Company's (CETC's).

The KLJ-7 uses a mechanically-steered slotted array antenna and bears similarities with the various Russian radars imported in the 1990s. Russian radar design houses Phazotron and NIIP had worked closely in the past with the Chinese radar design bureaus and provided technical assistance as well as operational models of Russian-made radar sets that were used as benchmarks in the process of these Chinese firms developing their own design. Up to 20 units of the Phazotron Zhemchoug ('Pearl) radar were imported in the mid-1990s for evaluation along with 2 units of Phazotron (NIIR) RP-35, which is the upgraded version of the Zhemchoug.[2]

The KLJ-7 has multiple modes, both beyond-visual-range (BVR) and close-in air-to-air modes, ground surveillance modes and a robust anti-jamming capability. The radar can reportedly manage up to 40 targets, monitor up to 10 of them in track-while-scan (TWS) mode and simultaneously fire on two BVR targets. The detection range for targets with a radar cross-section of 5 square meters is stated to be ≥105 km (≥85 km in look-down mode). Surface sea targets can be detected at up to 135 km. Most modern Chinese air-launched weapons, such as the short-range PL-9C and the beyond-visual-range PL-12 (SD-10) air-to-air missiles are supported by the KLJ-7. It has been reported that KLJ-7 also has modes to support a range of NATO weaponry, including the Raytheon AIM-9 Sidewinder short-range and AIM-7 Sparrow medium-range air-to-air missiles.

Radar modes

Range While Search (RWS)
Velocity Search (VS)
Single Target Track (STT)
Track While Scan (TWS)
Dual Target Track (DTT)
Situational Awareness Mode (SAM)
Air Combat Mode (ACM)(with five sub-modes)
Real Beam Map (RBM)
Doppler Beam Sharpening (DBS)
Ground Moving Target Indication/Ground Moving Target Track (GMTI/GMTT)
Air to Ground Ranging (AGR)
Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)
Sea Single Target Track (SSTT)
Beacon (BCN)

My this message must be off topic but on a lighter note I wanna say something to Emo girl here that you must have a lot of headache now by spinning too much even my eyes started rolling if I see your aviator for a while. ;)

It means:

10 thunders from china already delivered to paf
1st one manufactured at kamra
5 more near completion at Kamra
Total = 16 before the year ends, it means despite all odds and ends, the induction and manufacturing plans are going as per schedule. And InshaAllah the first sq. will get operational by the end of this year or early 2010:

Good job dude.
:victory:

PM to be chief guest at JF-17 unveiling today

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani will be the chief guest at the rolling out ceremony of the JF-17 fighter aircraft at the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra on Monday (today). The aeronautical complex has generated the capability to produce the aircraft locally for delivery to the Pakistan Air Force and exports. The aircraft has the ability to carry short- as well as long-range air-to-air missiles. It will replace the ageing fleets of A-5s, F-7Ps and the Mirages in the PAF inventory.

ISLAMABAD: The first state of the art JF-17 Thunder multi-role fighter plane produced in Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) Kamra will roll out today (Monday).

This will kick start a new era in Pak-China relationship, and aviation industry, an official source told

Both China and PAF attach a lot of importance to this project, which is materializing after hectic and laborious efforts spread over almost a decade, sources said.

The PAC has generated all the capability to produce the aircraft locally for its onward delivery to PAF besides materializing purchase orders from abroad.

The JF-17 Thunder a new generation, light-weight, all weather, day/night multi-role fighter aircraft with glass cockpit, hands-on-throttle-and-stick (HOTAS) controls and efficient man-machine interface will ensure a minimal pilot workload.

The maximum speed of Mach 1.6 and a high thrust-to-weight ratio will enable it to perform well in an air defence role.

An ability to carry short- as well as long-range air-to-air missiles lends the aircraft a first shot capability.

In the surface attack role, a variety of weapons - conventional as well as precision-guided, a sophisticated avionics suite along with accurate weapon delivery system, ensure higher mission success rate.

An effective ECM suite will greatly enhance survivability of the platform.

Its anticipated air-to-air refuelling capability will provide the JF-17 with more loiter time to safeguard the frontiers and the ability to deliver the required punch at distance.

It will replace the ageing fleets of A-5s, F-7Ps and the Mirages in the PAF inventory thus fulfilling a multi-role task.:pdf::pakistan::china:
