What's new

First hit on the head electricity prices to increase!!

Stupid to blame PML-N for this.

Give them a fair chance and judge them when they do make mistakes.
@Devil Soul

dirty work for the upcoming govt is to be done by CT govt.

if this is something done without consent of the upcoming govt, reversing increase in prices is a problem??

oh wait dont go away yet

today Lahore High Court has rejected the petition filed last year to suspend the Fuel charges, so now you will also have to pay fuel charges in your electricity bills from march 2012.

stupid and unfair to blame pmln? use brain and be reasonable !! :angry:

According to some sources , The increase in load shedding hours and increase in rates of Electricity have been done by Nawaz Sharif so that as soon as he comes into government , he reduces the prices and load shedding for a month just to get a credit and fools the nation yet again - Lets see if this source proves right or wrong !

the loadshedding will be solved, the Arab masters will provide enough money loan to reduce it to 4-6 hours, and the payments shall be made by this increase in prices and the fuel charges that you and us will pay from march 2012 to onwards.... and the darbari nooras would start doing wah wah......mian sahb nay kamal kr diya..... #Lanat

Why have you changed your flag?

You have to ask @Aeronaut that question to get an answer.

The cost of electricity in Pakistan is high, and rising, because it has to cover not only the costs of production and distribution, but also theft, circular debt and capital investments, not to mention taxes.

out of the 20,000 megawatts requirement, only 35% of the electricity comes from dams/water --- dams are costly to build and take a long time to build.. although they are cheap in the longrun ---- thermal power plants convert expensive fuel to electricity and can easily cover the remaining 65% requirement for some years till more dams are made ---- the problem is financing the thermal plant fuel and constructing dams simultaneously

one more thing which i am ashamed to find is that the residents of the cities where dams are made demand free and round the clock electricity -- secondly during ppp tenure, I dont think that sindh experienced the same harsh loadsheading as in punjab -- most of the revenue in terms of taxes are generated from punjab, whereas wapda line losses are considerably higher in other areas of pakistan
