First-ever Pakistan Film Festival opens at UN

Was this open to the public? I don't like the idea of it being hosted at the UN, because it's very likely that most people attending would be diplomats trying to make a friendly gesture.

Pakistani film SHAH is based on the incredible true story of boxer Syed Hussain Shah.

Hussain Shah started his life as a homeless child on the streets of Lyari, Karachi and went on to dominate Asian boxing for nearly a decade before becoming the first South Asian in history to win an Olympic Bronze Medal in boxing at the 1988 Seoul Olympics.

Soon after his achievements, Shah was forgotten by fans and media alike and went back to a life of abject poverty before disappearing from the public eye completely.

His son represented Pakistan in Rio Olympics, in the wrestling category.

True, but by a few corrupt government officials, not by the Pakistani public in general.

But the thing is now that it's out in the open and it's not 1980's anymore, the current head of sports board or the police, or the government or the judiciary should take note of this and apprehend the official who defrauded him of his plot and refused to provide him proper kit to participate in an international forum.

but nothing like this will ever happen because both the government, government officials and the judiciary remains still lives in the same old times.

Treated like filth.
