Finally Good News from Somalia

.
Good luck to somalia. Africa as a whole has suffered a lot due to corrupt politicians and colonial looters. I hope Somalia and other African countries find some peace.

.
Following the announcement of its first military base abroad, which will be set up in Qatar, Turkey prepares to build a military base in the African Horn. In the military base, Somalian soldiers will be trained by Turkish troops to fight Al-Shabaab terrorists
Wish you good luck against terrorism, we are suffering a lot recently from them so the more you kill the happier we get.

.
thank you,2014 somalia became the world leading exporter of livestock that is good news.
somalia Mogadishu port boom

recent mansoon rains-no casualty,it rained crazy

Economic growth is expected to accelerate to 3.4 percent next year and 4.3 percent in 2017, compared with 2.7 percent this year, the IMF said. Growth has been held back by slowing remittances and insecurity, Zandamela said.

Expansion is set to rebound in the medium term on increased foreign investment from Somalia’s diaspora into sectors such as construction, services and telecommunications, he said. The United Nations Development Programme estimates that Somalia has one of the world’s largest diaspora groups, with 14 percent of the population living outside the country and sending home as much as $1.2 billion a year in remittances.

Legal Guarantees
Donors will also continue to play an important role in the economy after providing support of more than $900 million last year, Zandamela said. Foreign-based companies keen on investing are waiting for the approval of a new constitution and solid legal guarantees before making decisions, he said

somali meat export to Saudi arabia soars.
The Gulf’s appetite for Somali livestock is down to three factors. Since the oil boom of the 1970s, Saudi Arabia and other states in the region have been able to afford a meat-heavy diet. Somali goat is also said to be sweeter and less fatty than goat from Australia. But the most important factor, and one that sends orders, and prices, rocketing, is the season when Muslim countries celebrate Eid al-Adha, the Feast of the Sacrifice.

national intelligence and security agency of the federal somali republic are doing fantastic job keeping terror cells at bay, they are still underfunded and equipped though, these are the boys the public insanely supports.
The main objective of (NISA) is to collect the intelligence data through different means and to safeguard the national interests. The job is to identify and block the threats to the state and its citizens and to reinforce the country's security and safety according to the teachings of Islam and the constitution.Brave heroes in our heart.

The important port town of Marka was captured by Al Shabaab. Somalia will never find peace as long as its occupied by foreigners who want to dismember the country

marka doesnt have port,it is now under gov control, soon it will be placed under clans/tribes strongly allied to the gov,no country is not occupied,AMISOM mandate is set to end by 2017,Somali security forces are ready to take control the few remaining pockets controlled by terrorists, you know, somalia has so many friends in the world, the reason we adopted federalism is to let the locals managed their parts in this huge country with the supreme supervisor of the legitimate federal republic of somalia.peace in these few swathes remaining is tied to economics, the more economics improve/grow,the better.

the elections in 2016 will be historic and step forward for this country.

You remind me of A-team who is also quite optimist regarding Afghanistan. Fact is that neither Kenyans or Ethiopians are natural friends of Somalia and they have a secret agenda of dismembering Somalia.

.
load of conspiracy theories/

somalia will never go war with any country or antagonize foolishly, but make no mistake,we will defend our national interest as we deem fit after all,our geography/history show we are warring nation,.the peace/governance we are enjoying came from the root down,it is locally owned.as the economy grows so is our influence in th region.our natural resources can sustain us indefinitely/in the longer scheme of things...sustainability is the key.

The countries you mentioned have thier own internal challenges which will keep them busy in the next century.

.
What you fail to understand is that under Ethiopian occupation Somalia will never have peace. Never. The same applies to Afghanistan. Even if you defeat Al Shabaab other people will emerge and continue fighting

.
here comes a greek in debt lecturing me about my country.no offence.

you cant compare AF to somalia(with all respect to AF),we have 99 million landlocked hungry country as a neighbour and we have the second largest coastline in mainland africa,we will provide port services, port industry, investment in fisheries for export,we have proven Gas reserves(oil not confirmed but there is offshore exploration with gov approval),the potential is there.our aim is to improve the socio-economic of our people.we are a martime giant.
Alshabab is not somali problem only, they control large swathes in kenya where they launch attacks from and raid kenyan gov installations, infrastractures in low level terrorist activities.
steadfast partner in every step of the way-strong words from US former secretary of state and presidential nominee hillary clinton..
this is was 2013,a lot of improvement since them.
