Why isn't there any off-topic forums in defence.pk. I was searching where to post this. In any case, since this is military based, I hope the mods will let it can stay here, or atleast move it to the airforce forum, where aviation fans are abound with good recommendations.

Can anyone recommend any T.V series with Fighter jets as the main theme? Language no bar as long as there are english subtitles. Please don't recommend any fighter jet themed movies as I have seen almost all of them ever made.
I present some series which I know incase I get the same recommendations. I'm aware of 2 animated series.

You got to hand it to the Japanese to create a masterpiece like this one. This thing is so good, you can add it to your to-do-list immediately!! Infact, I'm ORDERING you to watch it NOW!!
Watch it in Japanese with english subtitles. Don't watch the english version as they have done a piss poor job of dubbing. There is also a lot of errors in dubbing while explaining technical jargons, Also the acting is terrible. So watch it in Japanese with english subs. It may feel awkward for a few mins, but after a while you'll get used to it.
The jets and weapons portrayed are highly authentic. Topgun fans will love this. But as usual with any thing created, the good guys always win in the end.
There are also a lot of jets in this Anime. SFX sound is awesome!! Plug it in a surround sound system if you have one. You'll be blown away!

The next one is something most of you know about. Unlike Area88 it's mostly fiction. It's called Swatkats. It was intended for kids, but the series was dropped at 26 episodes because Turner executives termed it too violent for kids. Or in other words, it's watchable for older audiences. It's based on anthropomorphic cats who save their city. Cats were selected because the cat family is one of most the violent(read: carnivorous) species around. They fly a jet based on F-14 tomcat with 3 engines!, and can hover like an F-35, and has the characteristics of an F-22 raptor. The Enforcers(the para-military) fly a jet based on F-86 saber. That's about it. I recommend this one as well, but not as much as Area88.
