#lol we have seen many ertgruls and bin qasims burn down shops / cars and kill people right here in the holy land Pakistan itself. You sound like a English Defence League supporter.
don't doubt that expats are innately bad; however, this gives a huge loophole to be exploited. Even in the armed forces, we've tested candidates that are dual citizens but if they're to join they've to renounce their dual status and be a Pakistani citizen. I think a similar law would be good, allow them to contest but if they're to join then they've to subjected to our laws solely so no one with malintent can easily slip away.
I feel these native Pakistanis are thankless bunch. Over past 40 years, overseas/dual National Pakistani have saved the country from bankruptcy through their foreign remittances. For past 40 years Pakistani treasury only had few weeks worth of foreign reserves. It is only due remittances of Pakistanis living abroad that Pakistan did not become bankrupt like Zimbabwe.
And when those Pakistanis living abroad wants to participate in the political process, they are told that they are not eligible to participate in elections.
And don't get me started on dual nationals being CIA & RAW agents. Native Pakistanis are pretty self sufficient in supporting RAW & CIA. Look at home grown movements of MQM, BLA and PTM which were all thrived without any dual national playing a part. And you have lost East Pakistan all by your own efforts without any dual national being part of it.
So now learn to show a little gratitude to the people who are putting $20 billion in Pakistani treasury every year so you can buy petroleum, auto mobiles and electricity.
So this Pak Pac advocates Pakistani causes like Kashmir here in Washington DC and no one calls them security risk for USA interests over here. They frequently call us to spare to join them in D.C. Following is a recent conatact e-mail that they sent me.
Next time Pak Pac or any of other groups asked for help, I shall forward your 'No thank you' message to them and tell them to *uck off. If native Pakistani says they do not need us, why should we bother?
All & out and feeling much lighter.

So thanks but no thanks. We don't need you.
"Our biggest asset is the overseas Pakistanis and we were unable to tap their potential previously," said the premier, during his address at the launch ceremony in Islamabad.
You make some good arguments, but at least PMIK sees some value to overseas Pakistanis:

Regardless of one's personal views, there is no doubt that this is an important national issue that will not be easy to decide.
My issue is with people who think a piece of paper changes where you belong to and who you are, sir. I am proud of every Pakistani who makes it outside but the snide remarks aren't welcomed and will never be.
I agree that one can take the Pakistani out of Pakistan, but not the Pakistan out of the Pakistani. In the interests of discussion here, given PMIK's comments quoted above, surely you can see some value to the overseas Pakistanis in their positive contributions to Pakistan, that can be increased with further encouragement.
I think all of humanity is equal, sir, I have really fought against that hatred of tribalism that infects us. However, if we cannot love the fellow who speaks and looks like we do then how else would we do so for someone contrastingly different to us. It was never to devalue anyone from our homeland, here or not. I do mind the false sense of superiority that the poster was spewing and my answers were for his POV only.
