There is no 'spine' or 'spinelessness' in these decisions. It's stupid to make such statements. Lemme tell you that going all out in favor of the US was something that the Indian establishment has also been cautious about. They, for instance, wanted us to become a part of Iraqi invasion. The general policy has been balancing and continuing negos with Chinese so that some border stellement can be reached. That's a pragmatic policy.

dude all the current govt is interested in is looting the nation . half it's ministers have VIP-JAIL facilities and rest make sure that their name doesn't crop up in scandals ! there is no national vision , only vote vision ! if they could be bribed for confronting china, they would have done that ; but they are not to be blamed , because it is us who did put them to rule us !

Indian govt has never been dictated by anyone's actions. It's a little fantasy that chinese people have coz they like anyone who likes the US to be portrayed as being' dictated' by them. Even if we get as close to the US as the UK, even if our own forces start participating in their military actions, India will always have enough weight to pull it's punches. While China may think that the world is playing the tune of the US, the rest of the world actually think the CCP is a headache and a migraine and the US as being a justified counterweight.

China's really looking at aggressive military policy against India . Seems the Gov is cowed by mighty China. But in a practical question , what options does India have . Gov. change ? Foreign policy change ? Change in RoE ? Be more staunch and aggresive itself in its Military approach ? Strengthen Indo-US ties ? Keep backing away ?
