What's new

FDI dips by 45% in first five months of FY 2016-17

So, facts and figures don't matter.

His point was that predictions about Pakistan have been made by its critics before, but it defied them.

You will eat grass as long you have the atom bam? :o: :lol:

No one is "eating grass". And that's an amusing question coming from someone who hails from a country with a higher poverty rate than Pakistan, according to the World Bank.

So, you guys defied the predictions of gloom and doom and made a atom bomb. A small country like North Korea has one and they are the most sanctioned and isolated country in the world.

You did not get my sarcasm. I was downplaying the capacity to make a nuclear weapon.

And I was merely trying to point out that Pakistan is not "eating grass", nor is it like North Korea.

The only answer that's worth a damn here.

Rest of the mumbo Jumbo about confidence driving economy up..:rofl: what a load of horseshit.

Why don't you take a look at my first post regarding Pakistan's economic trajectory? It's not "mumbo-jumbo". There are facts to back up our feelings.

You people missed a great opportunity to convert investments in CPEC to FDI.. All blame goes to incompetent govt of Pakistan.. Their one only aim seems to be 2017 elections.. Not only they are negotiating with Chinese but also compelling govt agencies like NEPRA to accept all terms of Chinese..

I have no idea what you mean. China is the one being generous when it comes to CPEC, not Pakistan.

Please don't quote my post if you're not going to discuss what I posted.

Generous, all weather friend or major non NATO ally are fictitious terms to define relationship between countries, everything has purpose and meaning in international politics. So, take maximum advantage of CPEC and forget about generosity.

True, but that's precisely my point. Pakistan is participating in CPEC precisely because it is beneficial for it.

Do you know how to read? If you do, please read back my post and tell me where I have called Pakistan Dead Broke?

Don't worry if we are or not. As per the links in my previous posts, you indians have far more pressing problems to address or attend to than CPEC or Pakistan's economy. Please solve your own problems 1st and not concern yourself with Pakistan. It's a nation and race that has got nothing to do with you.

If you are old enough to remember the middle months of 1998, you may recall that when india detonated their nuclear devices in that year, members of the then vajpayee government and indian military declared that india is a fully fledged nuclear weapons state and they should use those devices to end the "Pakistani problem" once and for all. They claimed that rumours of Pakistan being a nuclear weapons state where ALL false because ALL the FACTS & FIGURES showed that it was impossible for Pakistan to EVER BECOME a nuclear weapons state with or without Chinese assistance. They all made comments to the effect of wiping out Pakistan. It was THOSE specific comments that has pushed Pakistan in becoming a fully fledged nuclear weapons state with the ability to produce H-bombs. Which we have had since at least early 2011:

Pakistan is now working towards 2nd and 3rd strike capability.
.

As a matter of fact, I was around in 98 and do not remember reading any such flagrant statements made by the Indian govt.,
And since you oft repeat this (including another post above this reply), now I'm really curious as to where you picked this up from.

The link you posted only spoke of the construction of a 4th reactor. None about the Indian govt. mocking pakistans nuclear ambitions.
Please clarify

The economy is certainly not "failing". It's growing at a healthy rate and has been accelerating each year for the past few years. It is also projected to continue that trend:

Foreign exchange reserves have increased quite a bit over the past year, and are at a higher point than anytime in the past 15 years:

For a country plagued by energy problems that cost it 2-2.5% growth a year, yes they do:

FDI will increase once CPEC is completed.

VERY VERY IMPRESSIVE. Afterall Pakistan is most veraciously growing Economy is South Asia infect in the World with most impressive data.

Chanel 4 news (UK TV) May 1998, a week before Pakistan tested it's devices. An indian military official and politician made direct threats to Pakistan and were both highly doubtful of Pakistan's capability. They both declared that they should "teach Pakistan a lesson". They were very confident.

@PAKISTANFOREVER
Both India & Pakistan tests nuclear weapons in same month may.. May12,13(India)& may 28(Pak).. Between this 15 days, who made such big comments.. Only Adwaniji made a weak statement regarding Kashmir as everybody knew about Pakistan will follow the same..
Also why you value Indian politicians words so high?? Rajnath Sigh last week said " will divide Pak to 10 pieces.. Did you respect that words also?? Everyday Indian & Pak politicians make many such comments,then swallow it next day..
@Peshwa

Bottom line is HE or india CAN'T divide Pakistan. These politicians say exactly what indians WOULD LIKE to do but are not capable of doin. That's why the Pakistani nation should always be wary of india.

World's political and economic map is reshaping in wake of Brexit and dip of oil prices also Trump effect has already started to have influence on it. This dip was totally expected as new avenues are being searched and new entrants in Pakistan's economy are set to enter Pakistan because there are many avenues and areas which had earlier been unexplored and are now being offered to investors in wake of improvement in law and order situation. IN SHA ALLAH things would start to change for good reasons very soon.
