Yo I got a question,

Why do all the people I have met on this forum love the J-31 so much?
Coz we are not worshiper of good for nothing westren tech ... Whats the use of western tech when it cant be used in war ????

. . .
Not for the PAF. Shenyang wants it to be, we have not decided. The customer for this is domestic in china.
Today, the FC-31 is the closest to materialization in as far as available next-generation fighters are concerned. Granted, CAC, GAIC or HAIC could have their own design proposals in the works which may or may not be of interest, but it'd be tough to beat the FC-31 if AVIC comes though on its 2021 IOC promise.

PAF will definitely buy 5th Generation figher from china and more likely it will be this bird J-31 or it will be J-20.

China have built more than 10 prototypes of J-20 while only 2 prototypes of J-31 been built.

So I think J-20 should be more ahead

Because the more China improves its armaments, the better the options for Pakistan and for that matter other countries that don't want to play ball with the US/Israel. Specific to the FC-31, its the closest thing to a realistic 5th gen option PAF has that we are aware of. So we are all rooting for the FC-31.

On a side note, can you imagine the predicament Pakistan would be in if China had not improved its aircraft in the manner that it has.

From J-6 and J-7 to Flanker derivatives, J-10, J-20, and now FC-31 in 25 yrs. Remarkable!

. .
I never said that, All I said about the F-35 was that we should consider getting it.
Just a suggestion, not for you to take personally and start acting like an Indian.

The JSF is no option for Pakistan. However, as the Pakistani economy grows and in the next 3-5 years after, the US gets interested in massive investments in Pakistan (means profit for the US businesses), that's when the JSF becomes a reality.

Do note, that LM had Pakistan on its marketing list till 2014, listed as a potential customer by 2025 (I assume that's because they had calculated some growth in Pakistan's economy). But they removed Pakistan from the list.

But the J-31 here, takes the PAF into the 5th gen world of a few air-forces and that by itself means a lot. Plus, it introduces Stealth related industry in Pakistan as Pakistan will produce some maintenance material to control the costs as with everything they get from China. As a result, you'd have trained labor on stealthy platform, its maintenance, avionics, advanced radars, EOS, etc, etc.

So acquiring this platform, creates trained people, advanced processes and technologies inside Pakistan as an industry, that only less than 4-5 top end countries have today. Pakistan can apply stealthy principles, technologies and materials produced internally to its own Cruise missiles, the JFT program, internally produced Drones, etc, etc. Imagine the possibilities and the capability this would provide to Pakistan.

Looks good. The question is will Pakistan invest in the project as China doesnt seem to be in a rush to do so.
