... because the vast majority of these containers were not ISAF, but ATT?

i wouldn't be happy reading any such loss to USA .... in fact i will be very concerned ... weapons are ending up in wrong hands within Pakistan and this may be the reason for all the unrest to some extant ...

Who knows USA & Nato are using this supply route to supply weapons to those helping their real agenda which i strongly believe is to destabilize Pakistan .... What has USA to loose anyway ??? They most probably are insured ... more orders for weapon manufacturers .... more stories for FOX, CNN to potray Pakistan as a nation of terrorists and the threat it poses to the world's peace .... many more reason for fed to keep on printing ... As long as the congress is happy, tax payers can go to hell ....

Gift of Zardari... i keep telling you guys, Pakistan is not only suffering huge revenue loss due to ATT (deal brokered by Hillary) but also suffering damages to the highways.

There are no transit fees and mostly ATT is used to dump weapons in Karachi, Quetta and Peshawar.

Now the terroirsm which we see today, is functional due to those missing containers.

This report is from 2011 but from the period between 2011 and 2012 even more containers were lost.

We all shall know Pakistan do not open or check the contents, before loosing them some where within Pakistan.

We also know, there is always a big US/Indian pressure on doubling the transit aid.

As i always said, Pakistanis are very rich people.. they pay highest taxes in the world and are biggest donors of aid in shape of free transit.
Once there was a calculation done by economists which i even posted.. the a single container transit cost Pakistan about $10'000.
Now since Pakistan has fallen into circular debt, while financing the transit of blind containers for 5 years, fresh calculation may bring out even higher transit cost/container.
