Fatwa against modelling by Muslim women

And as for some liberals wishing for fatwas against certain things.

1. That's irrelevant. It's an attempt to divert the topic.
2. All the things mentioned are already not allowed in Islam as they are stated to be haram or sin in Quran, or there's already fatwas about those, or both. If something is already haram, you don't need a fatwa against it, I believe.

In my opinion!

Fatwas in a way are against Islam.

Islam already told people what to wear, eat and so on. People already know it in Muslim countries..
So, by giving a Fatwa you are further elaborating or should I say imposing your own decision..
Impose: Which in a way goes against Islam..
Islam is very Liberal in terms of rights of speech but is conservative in rules.
Conservative: Not in a way you think..Every religion is conservative..
and every religion teaches us tolerance.

Fatwa against Qadians can be justified in a way BUT
Fatwa against "already known things" cannot be justified..

So, in conclusion Fatwas should not be given the way they are in our society..

and

People should not make fun of mullah team either..

We have to be different than them...

I am done!

MODs please close this thread before i break my head after hitting a wall :hitwall::hitwall::hitwall:

we all know that is forbiden according to the Quran, but what is the need of that Fatwa that we all know it?

Fatwa is basically an 'opinion' of a Scholar who has somewhat of an authority of Shariah. Who has studied shariah law extensively from a proper school and has the permission by to issue opinions derived from Islamic Law and spirit.

Why Fatwas are important and why do we need fatwas on things we already know?

Well! Because Fatwa serves as a reminder to the Muslim community on things that are going wrong. They're intended to provide us guidance if given by the right educated and qualified scholars not rag-tag mullahs, in the right spirit and climate and political/social context considering all the hostile forces who constantly use those to further their hatred against Islam and in general 'religious authorities' for their vested interests.

Fatwas serves as a psychological Red Light. As many get accustomed to passing red led and breaking law, the idea of fatwa is to make people stop and rethink and re-evaluate their actions.

I mean, if there was no fatwa on modeling, we wouldn't be having a discussion on here right now. :P

The hypocrisy of the so called educated secular elite is that they're most reluctant to condemn the Mullahs on giving fatwas against Women modeling on moral grounds, but no one raises a finger when Human Rights activists and social workers condemn modeling on the grounds that the concept of modeling really dehumanizes women and reduces them to sexual objects for corporate glorification.

Is modelling permitted in Pakistan? Will this fatwa now change the perception of modelling in Pakistan considering that it is an Islamic Republic ?

It won't make any difference and it doesn't come as a surprise.

It was passed by India's deoband school, so the first impact, if any, might be in India.

How was my post off topic? Several people asked me how it was condoned. I answered because they wanted to know.

One of the moderators asked me too and they seemed as if they wanted to know... but whatever, if you want to hide the fact, then sure, I was off-topic.

This was not a thread about domestic violence.
