Father of China H bomb YU Min passed away in Beijing on January 16 at the age of 93

According to the Chinese Academy of Sciences, YU Min, an important promoter and reform pioneer of China's national defense science and technology undertakings, passed away in Beijing on January 16 at the age of 93.

Graduated from Peking University,YU Min was transferred to the Institute of Modern Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences by famous physicists Qian Sanqiang and Peng Yuwu. He and his collaborators proposed a model of the nuclear coherent structure,also known as YU Min model of H bomb, which filled the gap in China's nuclear theory.
