Let him die. People should think twice before enlisting for a phony war.

We should find him. It's not his fault that he is here. He is just a soldier just like our soldiers.
he deserves death.
This soldier was in Afghanistan to kill Muslims
Those who are talking about unconditional "love" for this chap... Pay heed and attention...
The rule in Islam for such a scenario is very clear... We can help this man and his son ONLY on the condition that he wont come back to fight against Muslims ever again i.e he has to resign or take discharge from the military...
In case he breaks that condition and is caught again, he is to be executed...
Really?
Come on now, this person was there because he was ordered to be there -- and who are these "Muslims" you speak of? Is it the groups who oppose the government or the people who support the government?
The rule in Islam and in humanity both is not to target even soldiers once they have laid down their arms.

Let's not mix things and start executing people on the basis of non-homicidal acts. A soldier fights under orders. If you get him on the battle field, then thats it, its fine. But once they have laid down their arms, we are duty bound to protect some basic rights.execution is also an option in Islamic law.

You guys speak so causally of dealing death - it's amazing to me and even more amazing that we on the forum give you a venue to say things which demean what we hold in the highest esteem.

Let me repeat, along with other options- execution is also a possibility in Islamic laws.
i follow Islamic laws and not any geneva convention or some other international laws.
