Pakistan could be blacklisted by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) due to “lobbying by India”, foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said at a press conference in Lahore on Monday. Qureshi said he estimated that the country could suffer $10 billion loss annually if it remains on the watchdog’s grey list. “The Foreign Office is calculating the annual loss if Pakistan is pushed in the black-list by the FATF as India is lobbying for this,” foreign minister Qureshi told reporters at the Governor’s House in Lahore. In June last year, the Paris-based FATF had placed Pakistan on the grey list of countries whose domestic laws are considered weak to tackle the challenges of money laundering and terrorism financing. The FATF has asked Pakistan to reassess the operation of banned terrorist outfits in the country. Ahead of the team’s visit, Pakistan wrote to FATF president Marshall Billingslea to appoint other member as co-chair of the Asia-Pacific’s Joint Group, in place of India, to ensure that the FATF review process is fair, unbiased and objective. A group of experts from the FATF recently visited Pakistan to review whether Islamabad has made enough progress on global standards against financial crimes to warrant its exclusion from the watchdog’s grey list. During its three-day visit to Islamabad in the last week of March, a delegation of the Asia-Pacific Group (APG) on money laundering, a regional affiliate of the FATF, expressed serious reservations over insufficient physical actions on ground against banned groups to block flow of funds and activities. The FATF noted that Pakistan had revised its terror financing risk assessment but did not demonstrate a proper understanding of the risks posed by the Islamic State group, Al-Qaeda, Jamaat-ud-Dawah , Falah-i-Insania , Lashkar-e-Taiba, JeM, Haqqani Network and persons affiliated with the Taliban. To a question on the suspension of dialogue on the Kartarpur corridor for Sikh pilgrims from India to visit his country, Qureshi said: “Pakistan went to India for a meeting on Kartarpur despite the escalation [of tensions] on borders, but India hesitated for a second meeting scheduled for April 2. I ask India to bring its apprehensions on the table for review by Pakistan but avoid cancelling meetings.” India on Friday summoned Pakistan’s deputy high commissioner in New Delhi and conveyed concerns over the presence of a leading Khalistani separatist in a committee appointed by Pakistan on the Kartarpur corridor project. Indian officials said they will wait for a response from Pakistan on the issue.

The only thing that could blacklist you is inaction against terror groups and it's funding. You convince them, they'll take you off the grey list. If you don't you get promoted to Black list. Lobbying do not work there.

the lame excuses for not taking action against terrorist groups and their funding. Pakistani establishment can fool their countrymen but not the international diaspora. Problem with the state of Pakistan is that these rogue elements had become defacto mainstream decision makers.
What pot calling the kettle black?
Rich irony coming from those who elected a mass murderer and terrorist as their prime minister. That only happens in your incredible india.
Since 14th February the whole world have seen who is really a war mongerer and who loves to initiate peace. You have been asked to present us a dossier and proof that pakistan is responsible for the pulwama attack but nothing came from your side because that was an inside job.Despite all that if FATF black list us(they won,t trust me you already failed on most diplomatic fronts) then trust we are capable of causing more damage by blocking the export routes of india and it,s bed buddies.Better accept your recent defeat on military and diplomatic fronts and don,t mess with a regional power which is a present on a very important geo political situation and is capable of causing you much more damage. You need to change your attitudes if you want peace and good relations with us.

You are absolutely correct. Saudis have truly fucked Pakistan with their Wahabism program. There is tons of extremism in the country. Extremism leads to terrorism. It needs to be finished. Pakistan has itself to blame for not controlling madrassas. Deobandis and Wahabis have truly destroyed this country.
I agree with what you said we have our problems but the indians should be the last ones to lecture us on terrorism. At least we never supported the terrorists in politics. Here we have few rogue elements who are extremists but in india prevails a environment where most indians are becoming extremist hinduvadis. And the most fucked up thing is that now that indian majority can cast their votes to elect of one their kinds in politics.Oh my god how can we expect peace when we have such extremist leadership in the east.

. .
Not gonna happen. sure, india will try but Pakistan is far too important to the big players in the world, india's cries will fall pom deaf ears, she needs them, they don't need her.

.
It will never happen, Pushing Pakistan to the wall is not in interests of anyone, we may remain in grey list for long time for not being a loyal puppet to US in its regional games.

.
He should keep his mouth shut and start working on counter strategy.

Incorrect news to please Indian public. Actual statement of Shah Mehmood Qureshi is as follows:

About the FATF sanctions, the minister said the country had been placed in the grey list of Financial Action Task Force (FATF) during the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government. However, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was taking initiatives to avert the country being put in its black list. Being in FATF’s grey list caused a loss of $10 billion to the country while the cost of being included in the black list would be even higher, he added.

He is just talking about loss due to Grey List

Grow up and learn to respect others opinion.

Honestly, u run the risk of being called a false flagger!!!
I am IP verified.

Pakistani based JeM has done the bomb blasts targeting Indian armed forces and people
You have no proof for that. Ofcourse terrorist groups take responsibility of any attack done over human life. Pulwama attack is a case of a Kashmiri whos family was humiliated infront of him and he got his revenge by sending your soldiers to hell.
