Army is there to protect the nation. They ask questions, in the setting they are allowed. In all of the garrison talks, he is getting a lot of questions with sessions sometimes running into 2+ hours. As far as asking the COAS to resign, what would Asim Munir retort with? He'd ask on what grounds? His whole stance is that the law was broken on May 9th by the mob who destroyed govt/army property and the detentions and investigations are now underway. So while the law is being applied selectively, it is still the law. So in his mind why would he quit his job?
A young army officer or even the senior leaders can only say so much to the chief in such a setting. They can try resigning their own commission in protest but army is not a corporation where you can walk in, drop your letter of resignation and walk out.
Can we even trust this army?
One has to question the sanity of the chief.
Once our pride
Now our shame
