How could baning facebook solve blasphemy , fukin corrupts , they got extra guts to ban all websites but are nuts when it comes to provide awareness and education among the public .

Islam is not against exercise of personal belief. If you have got it, then you can read next.

I do not have right to disrespect anybody else's belief and anybody else doesn't have right to disrespect my belief. Without disrespecting, everybody is welcome to do whatever they like.

Stupid decision by the government. A person who visits any page on facebook does so based on personal choice. Then there are many good uses of facebook, staying communicated with your family and friends, creating pages and garnering support for various organizations groups (which can be both good or bad)... this is insanity by an insane government and highly conservative courts.

That is not the solution. I personally will never allow anyone abusing Jews or denying holocaust, which is almost religiously prosecuted in the West and USA.

Hate speech and incitement to violence must be tackled that way. Anyone breaching local laws must get heavy fines and penalties just like they get it in the West. We should learn something from them and fine Facebook if it breeches local laws. Some earnings are an additional bonus, ;-)

And I personally am not in favor of banning anything. This should be very last resort for the repeat offenders.

Is saying something nasty (real abusive) about Rama, Krishna, Hanuman or other Hindu Gods considered blasphemy in India? If yes, how does India deal with that? Do enlighten us.

May be Pakistan can learn few things from Indians, how they deal with such abuse.

And I think ban is not always the best strategy.

Dalit writers including Ambedkar have written a lot of stuff on Rama and Krishna which is objectionable to Orthodox Hindus...Brahmins have been mocked for a long time in history during Jainism and Buddhism periods in India..We have complete freedom as regards to criticising gods in India.

Or Mosques, Churches being burnt and massacres of minorities taking place sometimes on very small things.

Or Media facing threats of full ban for showing Kashmir as disputed territory.

Or Cinemas getting threats of being burnt or bombed if they ever showed a particular movie.

Do not play that innocent.

What does India do with media or mult-national organization which violates the local laws and keeps breaching them despite several warnings and penalties?
