What's new

F 16s are buzzing Lahore

We are willing to forgive the violence and reconcile with the Muslims in our part of J&K.

However we will fight fire with fire but will not fire first.

The region will receive peace when local battalion commanders mainly Pakistani decide to stop shelling each other.

Like it's a well known fact 29th Baloch regiment is full of nutty commanders who fire recklessly and then complain to DGMO Pak when retaliation is too much.

They are such battalions in many sectors who need to be restrained

We are always surprised by your comical command over such serious matters as Indi's cross LOC firing on innocent unarmed civilian population.

You indi's show us your inferiority complex so much so that you think that just by naming a well known and revered Pak army regiment in your posts will make it credible no matter how comical your knowledge or conclusion.:azn:

Do continue to make a mockery of yourself by all means.

Why should they be restrained? Hindustan has killed more of our civilians than the other way around, not to mention how disgustingly you treat our Muslim brothers and sisters in Kashmir.

We will wage war upon you until you not only treat us right but also our family across the border.

Oh and just in case you think I'm some random Pakistani who doesn't know jack, I am from Kashmir (as well as the Punjab), so I think I have a good say in things when it comes to my nick of woods.

Capturing parts of Lahore much more useful than capturing some fort in Rajasthan

Capturing the outskirts means nothing, because it's not the actual city.

Oh and I'm not suggesting Pakistan captured anything that useful either in 1965 (we did in 1971 though, Chamb sector was a good grab and since we managed to retain it, that's even better).

You are being cute now. 1965 has never been called a defeat in India. Always a stalemate , with India ahead as we captured 4 times the area that you captured.

Again, I'll just leave my reply to this emoji:

Threatening to overrun and lay waste to the capital city of the enemy has so many benefits

Except you tried to lay waste in what was (at the time, not sure if it still holds the title) the largest tank battle since WW2 (Battle of Chawinda). You failed, despite outnumbering us and after that the war ended.

Oh and Lahore wasn't the capital, but I will admit it was and still is a vital city to Pakistan. It (along with Delhi) is the pillar of Muslim history across the sub continent.

US didn't allow Turkey to do that I doubt they would have allowed customization of their IFF.

@gambit @Bilal Khan (Quwa) can you share you views on above.
The IFF system have a daily code that can be changed daily. But if you are talking about the foundation of what make an IFF system works, then no, personally, I would NOT approve of any such modifications. It is dangerous and WILL lead to fratricide. I do not know of any US/NATO approved modifications for any country that expects their aircraft, civilian and military, to smoothly works with everyone else. Any country is free to develop its own ID challenge system and take its chances in the sky. But if you are flying Western aircraft, the current IFF system is the only one allowed.

@hellfire @Joe Shearer good to see you guys back :)
cant forget deep and heated discussion with Hell fire on Surgi CAL strikes and Joe Shearer is always fun to talk with ... hey are you guys coming to celebrate our defense DAY ? :azn:

They haven't passed me medically for flying in a Sukhoi - idiots. Looks like I won't be there. :p:

I saw JF-17 with a couple of drop tanks fly at (around) 2000 ft height. It was fun to see as it executed a wide turn over the suburbs of Lahore.

That black smoke trail though.....

Thanks. Hope life treats you well and the almighty continues to shower the choicest blessings on you and your loved ones.

I never left, only the level of idiocy has forced me to hover and move, rarely posting. Can not really be bothered of that.

And well, the 'heated' discussions ... for me they weren't. I have finally come out of the closet and my credentials are known to quite a few members here .... Indians and suspected by quite a few Pakistanis too. So, it is just a mere matter of knowing things as opposed to speculating.

I do learn a lot here, I do concede, but more so in non-defense related topics, with excellent members around. But it is becoming difficult to maintain your cool with idiots at every corner trying to derail you, like evident on this thread. Sigh!

You want to fight balls?

Curious.

A case of 'Look, Ma, no hands?'

Elsewhere I posted a redacted photo of myself .. sorely tempted to post it here :D

You will fit right in, in a C-47 :enjoy:

And you would have noticed that the black smoke was much less than previously it was.

Will help an IR Missile in war
How?

I suppose, yes. I should add that as JF-17 executed that turn, its engine settings probably changed and there was a spurt of smoke that was more obvious than the slight smoke line that is always there.

So will your follow up Flanker.

Why India is replacing Russian R-73 Close combat air-to-air missile with Israeli Python-5 on LCA-Tejas

http://idrw.org/india-replacing-rus...t-air-air-missile-israeli-python-5-lca-tejas/

The Python-5[10] is currently the most capable air-to-air missile in Israel's inventory and one of the most advanced AAMs in the world. As a beyond-visual-range missile, it is capable of "lock-on after launch" (LOAL), and has full-sphere/all-direction (including rearward) attack ability. The missile features an advanced electro-optical infrared homing seeker which scans the target area for hostile aircraft, then locks-on for terminal chase. With a total of eighteen control surfaces and careful design, the resulting missile is supposed to be as maneuverable as any other air-to-air missiles with thrust vectoring nozzles.[7] The Python-5 was first used in combat during the 2006 Lebanon War, when it was used by F-16 Fighting Falcons to destroy two Iranian-made Ababil UAVs used by the Hezbollah.[1]

  • Length: 310 cm
  • Span: 64 cm
  • Diameter: 16 cm
  • Weight: 105 kg
  • Guidance: IR + electro-optical imaging
  • Warhead: 11 kg
  • Range: >20 km
  • Speed: Mach 4

So will your follow up Flanker.

Flankers are Unbeatable in WVR

BTW ; Flankers will first fire its R 77 s to force the enemy to take evasive action
while its powerful jammers will bring it into a merge and WVR
