Mach 4 missile has very little agility. Fairly easy to dodge.

I hope you know the difference between a WVR heatseeker and a Radar activated BVR....which cannot be defeated with flares.

The Cobra is just a crowd-pleaser performed during a leisurely flight, try it in combat speed, the pilot will most likely snap his straps and smash his face on the control panel and rattle most of his instruments.

How will a MKI pilot know when to perform cobra ? Simple, he doesn’t, given the lack of tracking and estimation of incoming missile as well as the panic atmosphere

I am by no means supporting F-16 or PAF against IAF here but using logic...

F-16, is a perfect fighter. Agility and maneuverability at the cost of speed and momentum is an ultimate death in air combat.

TVC has been a paper trick up till now with no real combat application.

not really.... you don't dogfight with full speed ahead... su30 WVR is different animal... it's slow speed handling characteristics is second to none... but no indian pilot is beating a pakistani pilot in maneuver skills that's for sure

SAM routinely knock passenger airliners out of the sky. BVR air to air work the same way. They are dumb. No IFF. Best bet is gun battle dog fight.

The way how it works is you feed enemy's planes in your radar systems and once target is identified as foe you launch radar guided missile.
The reason why airlines get shot down is because the operator is usually a moron who did not have much training. and also airliners are not stored in system as foe which would usually appear as unidentified target.
IR guided is more dumb since its after heat.

Absolutely not. The TVC nozzle will enable Su-30 to perform certain maneuvers which in real combat are rarely used. The F-16 is a very agile fighter compared to Su-30. Maneuverability wise the F-16 obviously has a big edge.

If a pilot is smart and trained well he can utilize TVC to doge missiles.
