The 16's the PAF is getting has AESA. They also have the Amraam.

.
sez who??
the F-16's in the PAF DONT have AESA, and there is no plan in the future to equip them as such.

give a link to prove your point mate??

The MLU will get AN/APG 66V(2) radar and new Block 52+ will have AN/APG 68V(9) radar. none of them are AESA.
the work of AESA will be done by AWACs:flag:

Both the MLU3s and Block 52+s will be equipped with AN/APG-68(V9); but I wouldn't put it beyond the PAF of eventually procuring an AESA system for F-16s - as part of a upgrade program or something.

.
that is gonna take a Looooooooong time mate....teh upgrade program is done at teh MLU time...that is yeeears later, dont count on that.Though if the techonology can be developed in China, that would speed things up.

@WebMaster Pakistan have more successful chances for J-11B/variant than F-15E. Again Pakistan would have to work hard for it just like RD-93 Engines.

60 MK2-9 from UAE at an affordable price will do a marvel for PAF, in addition to JF-17s, F-16s and eventually the J-31s.
F-15s are big platforms and very potent air superiority fighters, that is the only fighter plane that has never been downed - Apart from some virtual exercises- in real combat. A squadron of F-15s in PAF will be a very good addition, but the possibilities are remote, for now!

:o: You guys resurrected 9 years old thread!

The problem with F-15 is it's not maneuverable, lacking LERX. Su-27 is as maneuverable as F-16.

The Eagle's air superiority is achieved through a mixture of unprecedented manoeuvrability and acceleration, range, weapons and avionics. It can penetrate enemy defence and outperform and outfight any current or projected enemy aircraft. The F-15 has electronic systems and weaponry to detect, acquire, track and attack enemy aircraft while operating in friendly or enemy-controlled airspace. Its weapons and flight control systems are designed so one person can safely and effectively perform air-to-air combat.

The F-15's superior manoeuvrability and acceleration are achieved through high engine thrust-to-weight ratio and low wing loading. Low wing-loading (the ratio of aircraft weight to its wing area) is a vital factor in manoeuvrability and, combined with the high thrust-to-weight ratio, enables the aircraft to turn tightly without losing airspeed.

A multi mission avionics system sets the F-15 apart from other fighter aircraft. It includes a head-up display, advanced radar, inertial navigation system, flight instruments, UHF communications, tactical navigation system and instrument landing system. It also has an internally mounted, tactical electronic-warfare system, "identification friend or foe" system, electronic countermeasures set and a central digital computer.
