Extremists TALIBANS want to impose their agenda on people: President asif zardari

Local people already showed their allegiance with the state of Pakistan when they decided to leave their everything behind so that the Army can finish up their operation against the Taliban.

It's a pity that our media doesn't emphasize on the hundreds and thousands of refugee's who've been effected by this war and have given their sacrifices for our better tomorrow. If those hundreds and thousands of people didn't accept the Taliban ideology, then it's quite evident that the Taliban aren't welcome in their region. They never supported them and they still don't.

The only flaw here is that they should be standing proud behind Pakistan Army's military muscle, instead of standing scared behind the Taliban's weaponry.

With all due respect my friend when i read life has returned to normal in SWAT i wonder if it isuch a ghost town filled with TALIBANS who is out shopping who is out and about.....and why was it so hard to distingusih between the locals and taliban if everyone is a taliban the army should shoot at sight.....or give an ultimatium to the locals to evacuate....

Yes.. and more over their propoganda mediums should be intercepted and jamed so that the radical ideolegy doesnt get stamped to the peoples mind. People should be asked come out of swat or this troubled areas.. and then go in and finish the job..!!! Who ever remains would definitely not be the friends of society..!!!

Evacuate to where????
That becomes an important question.

I think it is a government failure to curb this and I felt terrible to know the PA couldn't stop the Taliban makes me wonder if the terrorists are actually recieving backing

SWAT is just ONE district where Pakistan army has been fighting the Taliban.

well then the question is WHERE ARE THEY GETTING FUNDING FROM? WHERE ARE THEY BEING ORGANISED FROM?WHO IS GIVING THEM AMMUNATION? i am afraid for the answer we have to look towards our EASTERN NEIGHBOURS....

You can still look at the Eastern border by looking at the 'Western Border' first. There's not much of a difference these days.

my opinion says this problem can be solved through military interference because taliban are not the people who will peace fully evacuate simply on fatwa or peace deal ''latoon ke bhoot batoon se nahin mante''.
you need a army which is 'brutal' and 'secular' means who don't see enemy as Muslims but only snakes whom heads need to be crushed. actully you need indian army to do this particular job:woot:

Let us not get distracted from the topic.

What is the need of the hour is for the PA is to step up it's efforts against the Taliban with the full support of the GOP, the media and the ordinary citizen.

The media has a very important role to play in this fight. They have to help the nation shape it's response, it's determination against this scourge.

The Eastern Borders should not be a cause for concern, because of the following reasons ( There will be many but I have just highlighted a few)

1. Due to it's own internal dynamics India cannot afford to have a conflict.
2. It is definitely not in the interest of India to have unstability in Pakistan.
3. Taliban is the biggest nightmare for both India and Pakistan.
4. Most important - The US and NATO countries are not going to allow any conflict as it will have very serious repercussion on their WOT.

Extremists want to impose their agenda on people: President Zardari

Updated at: 1123 PST, Tuesday, April 21, 2009

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has resolved to build Pakistan in accordance with the dream and aspirations of the great visionary Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

President Zardari in his message on the 71st death anniversary of Allama Iqbal, said Pakistan can be best built by understanding Islam in the light of Allama Iqbal’s teachings and by refusing to let armed militants impose their interpretation of Islamic thought and morality on the people through guns and bullets. “This indeed is the best tribute we can pay to Allama Iqbal today.”

President Zardari said Iqbal was the great poet philosopher who first envisioned a separate homeland for the Muslims of the South Asian sub continent.

The freedom and independence of the people of Pakistan living as an independent nation is in no small measure due to the great vision of a great visionary Allama Muhammad Iqbal, he added.

The President said today, as never before, the message of Iqbal has been misunderstood as some elements are using force to deprive the people of their hard earned freedom and independence.

Never before was the need for understanding Iqbal’s concept of Pakistan and the true message of Islam as great as it is today, he added.

there are many threads , on the fourm but every 1, has been distracked by the members likes or dislikes, this thread is being establised to chalk out a open & joint stratagy against a common enemy of us , TALIBANIZM!:agree::angry::smokin:
SO PLZ, WRITE ABOUT HOW CAN WE COUNTER TALIBANIZM!dont troll & stay with the issue plz!:agree:
thanks

Countering it with drone strikes isn't going to work.

The question still lies that if Pakistan removes its troops from the eastern border it will be supremely vulnerable to Indian attack if that could be guaranteed not to happen I doubt that PA wouldn't want to finish this problem once and for all.

Bezerk sir,
I am fully agree with your theory , why army is waiting , the whole last 8 years were spent with the same theory , look what we get? increse of voilence, talibans capturing more areas?
why PAKARMY is giving the sufficiant time to militants, when ever they are near to lose?
PAKARMY needs to act now, with its all available force.

Over 10,000 foreign militants holed up in tribal areas: Malik
Updated at: 1921 PST, Tuesday, April 21, 2009

ISLAMABAD: Advisor to Prime Minister on Interior, Rehman Malik asked on Tuesday Tehrik Nifaz-e Shariat-e Mohammedi (TNSM) chief Maulana Sufi Mohammed to read the Constitution before challenging it as all state affairs were being run in accordance with the national document, what he said, is Islamic and conforms to the teachings of the Holy Quran and Sunnah.

Malik said that over 10,000 foreign militants were taking refuge in tribal areas and Afghan currency and arms were being used in terrorist activities in Pakistan.

"Sufi Mohammed is challenging the Constitution. I say, he has not read it and suggests all those who are ignorant to read the document," said the Interior Advisor addressing the launching ceremony of Standard Operating Procedures for Police for dealing with women and investigating crimes of violence against women formulated by National Public Safety Commission and National Police Bureau, in collaboration with German Technical Cooperation.

He said strict action would be taken if TNSM violates peace agreement signed with the provincial government or fails to implement it, adding that the Nizam-e Adl Regulation (NAR-2009) was invoked in 1994, under which a session judge was named as Qazi.

Malik ruled out any intention to lift ban from TNSM and said there is no chance as well.

Nizam-e-Adl Regulation challenged in SC
Updated at: 1839 PST, Tuesday, April 21, 2009

ISLAMABAD: A petition was filed Tuesday in the Supreme Court challenging the promulgation of Nizam-e-Adl Regulation 2009 in Malakand Division.

The petitioner, Shaid Orakzai, pleaded the court to issue a stay order to stop the Qazi courts from giving decisions about death sentence.:agree:
The constitutional petition said that the regulation was enforced in contradiction of the state religion and the Shariat-e-Muhammadi.

Orakzai further said in his petition that Qazis appointed under the Regulation could not meet the criteria set by Sharia.
