That is true. We do not understand the benefits of secularism but it still does not justify the India like treatment of minorities. There have been several events. For example when Babri was demolished non muslim lawmakers were asked not to come to assemblies the next few days. Then there is forced conversions, kidnappings for ransom and forced marriage with hindu girls.

It is not right to condemn India without looking within too. Minorities are the flowers of our nation, they deserve to be protected fully.
