I think people should RESEARCH into these people...
Like some of you liking Hamid Mir - he has a very sinister and shady history. While other anchors are only known to sell their opinions for $$$, Hamid Mir does much more than that. Two major things against him - one is that he had a "meeting" with Osama bin Laden when Americans needed OBL to admit to a bunch of stuff prior to attacking Afghanistan. And OBL *did* admit to stuff in this supposed interview with Hamid Mir(Mir has an elaborate account of how he travelled to Afghanistan and how brave he was and the challenges he surpassed with his super-human strength and courage).
Gen. Hameed Gul also send in multiple interviews that he believed Hamid Mir might have been "mistaken", and Osama bin Laden is also on record saying he was NOT involved in 9/11, but the subsequent videos the Americans put out are to the contrary.
The second thing about Hamid Mir was his role in the murder of Col. Imam. Col. Imam was a Pakistani SSG officer who helped train the Mujahideen fight the Soviets, and Mullah Omar(in his younger days) was a student of Col Imam and even the current Afghan resistance movement has been influenced by the Col - they use many of the same tactics that they used to counter the Soviet Spetsnaz special forces, to hold their own and counter the US special forces. This guy("Col. Imam" is a nickname) is considered a hero by many people, though obviously not by the Americans and those Pakistanis who ape everything and every opinion the west has.
Col. Imam made a trip to the tribal areas to try to pacify the people towards Pakistan, to get them to stop fighting the Pak Army. He was kidnapped by these "Pakistan taliban" that act like an arm of the CIA(they are frequently very well-equipped via Afghanistan, and they refuse to fight Americans and focus on serving American designs in Pakistan), Mullah Omar himself sent a delegation to these "Pakistan taliban" requesting that these people release Col. Imam. These folks refused, and eventually killed the Col. Hamid Mir's phone conversations with some of the kidnappers came out, where this guy was inciting those people against the Col, telling them to ask him why he met US officials in the 80's and all. Col. Imam's children went on record saying they considered Hamid Mir their father's murderer, as the things he had said to their father's kidnappers were very very strange.
...
And about Nusrat Javed, there's videos of him acting very drunk on his show. Sherry Rehman was a guest and Nusrat Javed started flirting with her live - even she told Javed that he was "asleep"(soay huay hain - drunk). It was widely reported that he kept wine in that mug of his and drank it during the show, so much so that Nusrat Javed had to start using a transparent see-through glass to quell these rumours. Sometimes he still acts very strange, maybe the habit's hard to kick and he's got vodka or some transparent form of alcohol.
My point is, most of the people on the media are very very flexible. It would be foolish to pin your hopes on any of them.
