Exports to India on downwards spiral

Many of them(not all) are a bit too short sighted to see this. CPEC without any trade friendly restrictions in place will destroy Pakistani domestic industries..

No one said that you cared. Please re-read my post. And I'm sure Pakistan will be fine. As I said, there are many other fish in the sea.

You iterating or reiterating that we care is not my concern.
My only point was to your assertion that there are other fish to which I asserted that India does not care either way.

Export to India are at most $1 billion. With a GDP of almost 300 billion, i doubt loss of this 1 bn will hurt much. Still loss is a loss.

Let me guess....the massive inflow of Chinese goods into Pakistan is forcing the local manufacturing units to shut shop....and lesser production is resulting into lesser exports.
its a temporary setback as iran -afghanistan and india are not happy and conspiring against Pakistan but once CEPC becomes oprational Gawadar will be thrice as wealthy dubai and singapore combined and pakistan will become largest economy in south asia ... :agree:

Never bring emotions into economics....take an example ...for all of India's and China's grandstanding theatrics and so called enemity , both of them know that India is going to be the largest consumer in the world in a decade or so ...and with India also jumping on to the manufacturing bus ....these two countries are going to be the largest trade partners in the world and the Chinese manufacturers know that ....so whatever happens they won't allow trade to get damaged between the two countries ....

The problem is that China-India enimosity is nowhere near Pak-India . China and India have been on good terms for a long time now. That is not the case with Pak-India. Never in 70 years we had a time where we could say the relation was calm.

Pak-India matters are always complex and cannot be compared to other relations.

As long as China supplies necessary items, Pakistan does not need to produce them in country. Exports sliding is no big deal as CPEC will take care of everything.

Pakistanis won't need about employment too ?
