Exports to India hits record high

Dada - we import your Sanghi $hit where quality is irrelevant. meaning we buy it for price, not because of any quality component. Don't think you have any leverage in our market.

Your cotton is the worst quality in the whole globe (short staple cotton), they are unfit for processing into export apparel products. Indian cotton is only used to produce local apparel for poor people.

We could import from China, but in some cases your internal market and consumption is so bad, exports are dirt cheap (because sold products cost more to produce than the price gotten) and costs a pittance to be imported to Bangladesh. Why not throw Indians a bone, since they are neighbors. Support Sanghi banyas and keep them happy.

We aren't thinking "Hi Kwallity" goods when we're looking at Indian imports. These are meant for lower echelon use for very poor people or for disposable and throw-away items, whether you talk machinery or consumables. Kesh Taila, cookies and paan ghutka are those items. Third rate products even middle class people don't use (FMCG items).

And some people also import low grade back-dated WWII era heavy machinery and auto parts tek-na-lajee that no one in the globe uses any more for village roadside workshops. Disposable tuk-tuks and Minitrucks so bad, maximum usage is two years at best.

I think you lot have been watching too much Godi propaganda lately, thinking you have us by the balls selling us garbage sub par $hit.

No one here cares.

We aren't doing the whining, your banyas are whining in every case to sell us stuff. Tell your banyas to stop the whining. They are willing to sell even beef to Bangladesh. Wow!

Not only is India requesting Bangladesh to buy beef, but asking Bangladesh to save its raw leather and tanning industry.

Beef imports should resume; India appealed to Bangladesh

New Delhi: India has asked Bangladesh to resume beef imports.

The government of Bangladesh has stopped the import of frozen meat including buffalo meat from India to protect local livestock farmers and improve the livestock sector.

Financial Express reports that the Indian embassy in Dhaka has sent a letter to the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock asking them to resolve the issue.

The letter states that according to the notification on Import Policy-2021-24 issued by the Ministry of Commerce in April 2022, the import of meat, including frozen buffalo meat, requires prior approval from the Animal Husbandry Department.

The traders also said that due to the change in the import policy, there was no import of frozen beef for the past few months, which affected their business.

The letter states that Indian companies are the world’s largest exporters of meat from Bangladesh. Bangladesh is now self-sufficient in meat production. But the letter indicates that some luxury hotels have also imported the meat, spending about US$2.5 million in the 2017-18 fiscal year importing the item from 14 countries.

According to the Department of Livestock Services (DLS), the country reported more than 8.44 million tons of meat in the financial year 2020-21.

Bangladesh imports meat from 14 countries. Other countries are Ethiopia, France, Korea, Thailand, China, United Arab Emirates (UAE), USA, Pakistan, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.

GFMilitary exports are not part of commercial export figures.
All your mumo jambo relates to the point that Bangladesh is doing business.
You import products from India where quality is not a parameter.
It is a win win for both the trading parties, mean BD and India. Thanks for admitting it and proving my point. BD is not doing charity. Since she is finding it economical she is importing from India.
@bluesky

Trivia - BD has 20% middle class. To my understanding upper cast should be between5-10%. So according to Bilal around 1/3rd of BD people is using low grade Indian product. This is quite alarming.

Bilal sometimes goes overboard.

Both India and Bangladesh complement each other well.

India supplies value for money to BD’s lower middle class.

Bangladesh provides western branded garments to India’s upper middle class at a good price.

Bangladesh also supports the seven sisters by consuming their agro products.

Military exports are not part of commercial export figures.

With Bangladeshs PPP of 6,600 usd, you do realize when you are mentioning that only poor or lower middle class people consume Indian fmcg products you are talking about around roughly 70-75% of your population

Well if you have to find solace in something then PPP figures are it. Way more kanjoosis in India - even among middle class folks, prices are kept low.

Plus you have that influential Indian woman at IMF fishing for a job under Modi at some point - to doctor the numbers. :-)

But here is predik-sun per World Economic Outlook report (in real numbers) - please cope.

And regarding poor people being 75% of Bangladesh' population I'd like to know what funny cigarettes you are smoking. Bangladesh and India poverty rates are roughly similar (24% vs. 22%).

But recently things have gotten way worse in India.
  • Indian recession (that you are still in by the way) caused an additional 32 Million people in India to leave the middle class and join the ranks of the poor. Inflation is taking it's toll.
  • Pandemic brought 75 million more Indians under the poverty line in the year 2020.
  • India has experienced its sharpest recession in more than 40 years as the pandemic hit various economic sectors leading to huge job losses - India’s economy contracted by 8 percent in the Fiscal Year 2021.
  • Extreme Poverty rate in India surged up to 9.7 percent in 2020.
  • The population of "poor" people in India is more than 800 million people now.

India is on the verge of getting bankrupt like Sri Lanka in 2022. Story below. Achhey din aa raha hai...

"Shynniiing Shtaarrr off the vaaarldd!"

" EM O You shygned....!"

"Appel May make Shpeshyal Shtyle widgits...in Sanghiland"

"Zyadaaa Inweshtment aa raha hai"

Six months later, crickets.....

Global investors aren't dumb, everyone knows Sanghis don't buy jack $hit....no one will set up factories to make anything there....

A nothing place with zero hope and zero expectations. Even worse than Bangladesh, on almost all counts, if you can believe that...!

This below is still mostly true. Modi prohibits publishing these stats, muzzling the press is the "New India". 20,000 people lining up and applying for a single Peon post. Some applicants are Ph.D's !

Bhakts make it sound like every other street-$hitter in India are going to buy iPhone 14s.

Thank you Modi-jee....

Keep on BS-ing.....

These are pictures of the Wistron plant in Sriperumbudur (Chennai), great place to make iPhones by not paying workers...nice disciplined workers too! Perfect place to Invest!

Inkraaadibbel India!!!

And why stop at Wistron. Banyas in India are a bunch of haramis, withholding wages and offering only terrible working conditions.

Here are images of a riot at Maruti Suzuki (Manesar) not too long ago. Who is going to invest in India with riots like this everywhere?

Also Indian GDP per capita really hides the fact that its the Top1% and Brahmins who is accumulating their fortunes.
India has some the worlds richest people according to Fortune. That is not a complement.

Its a very eschewed economic development.

Yep! A country that poor having so many billionaires is not good news.

India produces less grain per capita than BD.

But exports huge amounts whilst BD imports.

These are the paradoxes that explains why India has such high mortality.
