Export bids for JF-17 Thunder Multirole Lightweight Fighter Aircraft

These news are very ambiguous. Is this a second customer or a rehash of the earlier news. I think that we do have a second customer and there have been hintsof the poss8ble buyer but no confirmationas yet. However things are beginning to look good for our little gem.

On the ambiguous part, agree. This order is for 40 aircraft and earlier sale was for ~18. Looks like it is new one. Old customer would probably not place another order unless it had received the previous one, had used its birds and was happy to increase their numbers. It seems unlikely (though not impossible) that you order for 18 and before you get them, you order another 22 of those.

Our best hope of some clarity here is Alan Warnes in the Dec issue of AFM.

The Dubai report from the other sources seem to be talking of the same deal announced in Paris. Also the 40 planes coincide with the remaining 40 Block II for PAF.

It's been pretty long since we are selling empty words like jf17 costs 1/3rd of F16 & BLA BLA........ first we need to fill up our own needs then go for export orders.......

There are countries who wish to remain anonymous until the product is ready to be delivered, those negotiating don't or can't exactly expect a delivery any time soon but at least the ball is rolling so why wash the soap before the hands.

Why they want to to be "anonymous" untill product is ready? Scared of "some one"....?
